Im still scratching my head how you even got over 400whp let alone 500.
Surely that turbo just cannot flow enough to hit those figures no matter what supporting mods you have unless its running nitrous.

Me too, Phil
I thought the 2871 was only slightly larger than the k04![]()
It is, i thought they were good for around 450 at the crank tops.
The question is what could they get out of a 3071???

those are pretty impressive figures! 513WHP from a GT28, who would have ever imagined!
i think you need to get some 1/4 mile times up asap! you should be aiming at top spot on the 2.0TFSI leaderboard.
out of interest, what was the crank hp figure? as invisible said, how is the cars driveability?

Well, my friends 2.1 cosworth engine, 3071, motec management with all supporting modifications made mid 400bhp on the dyno (not a rolling road, an engine-out dyno, it was built by race engine specialists who work on historic F1 cars, lemans cars etc)
IF its true its pretty amazing, but it does 'rubbish' a build like my friends which cost an extremely large amount of money and included a lot of expertise.
An independent RR figure would be good to see....
Rick
the dyno is a dynapack , so no crank figures only whp.
for crank i insert a correction figure of 10% which is about right in my eyes for those cars.
so let's say around 565hp with c16 and around 450hp with 98.
more pics will probably be up later this week.
as for drivability , the car suspension is not tuned yet. on 98ron it is drivable but scary on c16 it is mental and extremlly scary.
as for traction , the car has full powerflex bushings, Peloquin's Diff, KW clubsport suspension, tires are changing this week to 255/40/18 R888's.
