APR chucked up this pic on their Facebook page the other day.

513hp_Stg4_Leon.jpg

Awesome results!! Just checked on the APR facebook, caption from APR is:

"Well there you go..... 513 to the wheels on race fuel. Project Stg 4 APR Israel Seat LCR 2.0T FSI!!! Go APR!"

So the guy isn't dreaming on, he really does have a monster of a car...

those are pretty impressive figures! 513WHP from a GT28, who would have ever imagined!
i think you need to get some 1/4 mile times up asap! you should be aiming at top spot on the 2.0TFSI leaderboard.
out of interest, what was the crank hp figure? as invisible said, how is the cars driveability?

Im still scratching my head how you even got over 400whp let alone 500.

Surely that turbo just cannot flow enough to hit those figures no matter what supporting mods you have unless its running nitrous.

Me too, Phil

I thought the I thought the 2871 was only slightly larger than the k04

It is, i thought they were good for around 450 at the crank tops.

The question is what could they get out of a 3071???

Well, my friends 2.1 cosworth engine, 3071, motec management with all supporting modifications made mid 400bhp on the dyno (not a rolling road, an engine-out dyno, it was built by race engine specialists who work on historic F1 cars, lemans cars etc)

IF its true its pretty amazing, but it does 'rubbish' a build like my friends which cost an extremely large amount of money and included a lot of expertise.

An independent RR figure would be good to see....

the dyno is a dynapack , so no crank figures only whp.
for crank i insert a correction figure of 10% which is about right in my eyes for those cars.
so let's say around 565hp with c16 and around 450hp with 98.

more pics will probably be up later this week.

as for drivability , the car suspension is not tuned yet. on 98ron it is drivable but scary on c16 it is mental and extremlly scary.

as for traction , the car has full powerflex bushings, Peloquin's Diff, KW clubsport suspension, tires are changing this week to 255/40/18 R888's.

the 2871R APR uses is the largest variant with .86 A/R.

still the number is up there in the sky for this turbo and on c16 it is on 100% duty cycle. what makes that power is the timing advance avilable on the c16 fuel which is not avilable on 98ron. as apr guys put it , this fuel is "magic in a can".

the difference to 3071 with .63 A/R will be only around 10-20whp , but i would loose 400-600rpm of spool. not worth it in my eyes.

with 3076 on this fuel i had enough fueling to make (in theory) over 600whp , but that would leave me with a laggy engine and a very bad driving experience.

Rick

this is indipendent dyno figures.

the tuning was here in israel and there were 15 people at the dyno including israeli motec and haltech distributers and the dyno operators who are in no way related to APR.

everyone betted on around 400-450 and they were in shock at the numbers.

ohhh.... and it is a motorsport engine.

the engine is completly built at APR motorsport in alabama, there is not a single internal part in the head or bottom who wasn't upgraded or replaced.

Im sure Dynpack measures in BHP not WHP its 513bhp not 513WHP. So thats more like 435whp. 10% transmission loss is no where near, its more like 15%.

How can they calculate transmission loss if they only had your block and no gearbox or actual car attached to it? Or was it done when you got it back in and fitted?

Agreed with the C16 it would make X more power due to timing advance but you're way above what that figure, if its BHP then i'd say its not a million miles away but still too high.
