Hi all,

Looking into a De-cat, obviously theres the issue with MOT's but other than that anything else?

Error codes? dash lights etc?

Cheers

so if the cat is mapped out then it shouldnt throw any fault codes?

Cheers

You will get a dash light on, which needs mapping out, you will fail MOT and if you get pulled over and roadside tested there is potential to get dry bummed.

Didnt stop me though haha no point paying an extra 250 for a sports cat which is just another restriction which you dont want.

you dont get the dash light on if you just plumb the sensor in

lol at throw the book at you there are a few things a bit more serious than driving about without a cat

Ive been driving my other car with no cat for 3 years, passes every mot, been pulled over so many times i couldnt keep count and never been even questioned on weather i have one or not. so not worried about this.

But i HATE dash lights lol, just does my head in, how would i get the error mapped out? would it be done on re-map? or would it have to be done in vagcom?
would mapping it out cause a issue with re-fitting the standard downpipe for MOT if required?

Cheers

haha xmas tree dash :p

Yeh cant be dealing with that!
this is the info im really interested in tbh.
