tom tom cradle?? annoyed!

i must admit im annoyed!!

i paid alot of money for my ibiza and got every optional extra over £3000's worth!!

then i find out i have to buy an optional ipod lead at £70!

then i go buy a tom tom to go with my indash holder and it doesnt fit! so i am guessin that seat are going to try sell me the cradle?

this is a joke!

how can you pay for a option that lets you play your ipod direct threw your car then it not be able to do it?

then buy a tomtom dash holder/charger that wont do either?

if i go to seat do you think i will get them for free?

also will my tom tom even fit there cradle??

I don't know what to say mate.

All I can say is that whenever adding extras to your car, research thoroughly to avoid disappointment! I have a tomtom, but never considered the in-dash holder as I checked and found out it would not fit.

Feel sorry for you. Hate to see negative threads on here. Hope you get it sorted.

Try searching here for the ipod lead. I thought the bmw one works the same but is significantly cheaper.

sorry to be a pain! but clearly says in the brochure what type of Tom Tom sat nav you would need to use with the pre cradle and the combined USB/AUX-in port CUP says additional adaptor is required please contact your seat dealer.

I'm sure your Tom Tom sat nav would work on it, only USB so would charge it.

Take it you didn't really have a look at the brochure correctly (page 36 to 37).

I did not look in the broucher.

I bought it in the showroom and asked for every option he sais there was! He said do you want the iPod tobwork threw the car etc I said yes. Do you want the Tom Tom dash holder.. Yes! He never said anything else was to be bought.

I even read on here about needing some lead for the iPod and when I collected it I asked fir it and he said you can't get them anymore just use your iPod lead?

You could search on fleabay and find the genuine Seat cradle version. Some of the stealers sell em on there..... or just use the cheaper BMW cable.

its not about the money i will just go to a different dealer and buy them its just the thought of spending £16800 on a ****ing 1.6tdi ibiza and not getting what i wanted!

im sorry but thats a fortune the dealer should be like... yeh! mr wales come round we will give you them!

There are different holders for different models. It's not seats fault if you bought the wrong one. Got
mine for free and it fits my tom-tom one perfectly.

I think if you went to their showroom and asked for a car with all the options, It's not unreasonable for them to assume you understood what you are asking for.

if you were smart to begin with you should of asked the dealer if all tomtom's fit in the cradle... as i did this and they said it is specific to the tomtom one i think it was that fits in the cradle. which is why i decided against this extra

they said i would get a leather armrest and i didnt so they gave me a cloth armrest and said they were sorry and if i was to get it retrimmed they would fit it.

surely this is the same type of thing?

Don't think anyone is against you mate, but don't expect anything for free from SEAT. Sometimes you need to do your own homework before buying, and check what the salesman say's is true. I know you should be able to rely on them, but I'll bet they don't know of every single option available to every single car in the range.

Yes SEAT screwed up with the TomTom adaptor by limiting it's suitability to one model (correct me if I'm wrong on that). They should offer conversion kits to suit other TomTom models imo.

I had the USB option to charge my phone, my salesman didn't even know about the extra lead that is required. I found out by reading on here after the order was placed, had a rant at them and got bugger all. Actually that's not quite true, he put 1/2 a tank of fuel in .
