hi folks heres one for you to maybe figure out , my ibiza 1.2 s (2002) mk4 was running great yesterday , but when i got in it today it started ok then after a while i was sitting at a junction ready to move out , i moved out then the car died on me absoloutley dead , then i pressed the throttle a couple of time and it started working again the car does not splutter or anything when driving it is smooth to drive so cannot be the coil packs , could it be something to do with the epc , or electronic throttle as i have been told they have no throttle cable only 2 motors or sensors one in the car and one on the engine block
any help would be very much appreciated as the car is very unreliable at junctions , one last thing the car does not doe it when the car is at high speeds

get some new spark plugs? this used to happen to me at junctions in both my old metro and the ibiza..

You go to pull away and its as if the throttle isnt connected for a second. Almost like having a MASSIVE turbo lag on the car?

See if your brake lights and brake light switch are working properly - there is a safety feature that if you press the brakes even when on the throttle it kills the revs ( just in case the electronic throttle jams )

many thanks to everyone for the help , i forgot to say the mechanic plugged in the diagnostic fault finder , but it did not find anything wrong even when he was driving it and it happened , i will try the spark plugs first and check my brake lights , and forgot to say where is the brake light switch , i am not very technically minded with new cars , give me an old 850 mini anyday (happy days ) cheers everyone ...:funk:
