K04-001 is a k03 with a k04 exhaust wheel I believe and tops out at 240ish bhp.

I think you want the k03/s hybrid which has full k04 internals and tops out about 270 bhp.

Both fit on to standard manifold and downpipe.

There is a good thread in the mk3 section somewhere about all the companies offering hybrids I'd have
a good read up before ordering if I were you mate :)

It's already on it's way, ko4-001 hybrid.
Should be a laugh.. It's the same as my mates and his has ran between 280-290 on various dynos with the same mods I'm Gunna have, just live and hope tbh

Ahh if it's 280bhp one then sounds like the hybrid alright. which company did you get it from?

Emlyn

I got it from a company universal turbos, again a recommendation from my friend
He has used them a few times with no problems

Brand new ko4 as the base and all machining work with the gaskets and posted and packed delivered to my house with in 5 days for 850 :)

Should be good mate!

Yep, I can definitely confirm that my Milltek downpipe for the MK3 Cupra fits the K04-001.

Mines pushing 225bhp with the mods listed in my signature - im gunna be copying your mods I think - see if I can get abit more power out of mine - will be happy with 240.

Cheers matey :)

Yer this hybrid
Along with

Decat turbo back
INA high flow
Tip
440cc injectors
A proper map
And other mods I already have

Should see me round 280 which is same spec as my
Friends :)

Then I getting
New front brakes after Christmas
Some spraying of interior parts
Stubby drivers mirror
Some new suspension

Should be Gooood!

Sounds good, mines not too far off that - apart from the 440cc injectors.
I was going to go down the road of a K03s, but if I can squeeze the power out of the k04-001 ill be well happy!
Keep us posted mate.

I'll let you know how the hybrid goes cos it could be an option for you, cos a new ko3s shouldn't be far off if you got your ko4 made hybrid

In other news Ordered a reducer for my tip as it would not fit the inlet on the turbo :)
Cost me the huge price of... 4.98 :D

Nice Car, Fancy Swapping For A Mk4 1.2 :p Give Me Your Car You :censored: Haha :ban:
Yeh Mate Took Your Advice And Think Sometime Next Year Or Maybe October 2012 When I Get Back From Afghan Gonna Purchase Me One Of These :)

Loving The Yellow And Black Exterior :) Get Some Interior Shots Up :)

Haha don't think I could drive a 1.2 after this, it's flaming mental :)
Haha I think you should! They are so much better to drive imo and tbh they look real nice and cheaper to insure than an fr/ cupra for me, pick a good one and you will love it

Still faffing around with the turbo as we speak, need to fit water lines, high flow manifold and tighten up the downpipe

Hit so many problems with it eg, tip doesn't fit, turbo casing required filing to fit
Manifold, just trying to get the turbo in that stupid gap :)
If all goes to plan today it will be done, but as you all know, it never goes to plan :/

You have taken the manifold off yeah? Easiest is to put turbo on dp. Then bolt to manifold. Then bolt manifold to head last. Good luck mate.

Yer that's what we did, just getting everything lined up was an absolute pain! So little space to work with in this car!
