Engine Push Start?

Just browsing EBAY here and come across it.

Anyone got one on their MK4s? Any pics? Were abouts best place for the actual button? ..

Agreed. Just a think to show off to your mates once, but then the fun will disappear.

Honda civic has this, its really stupid imo. What's wrong with a key anyway!

I don't think you need to say any more, the fact that Civic's have them would be enough for me!

Although strictly speaking my bike works off a key for ignition, and a push button to start it...

Aston Martin? Doesn't some of those have fancy crystal keys that you have to put in and then push start?

ive got push button in my mk2, its not worth it as the wiring doesnt have a good contact to the switch as the button sometimes moves and means repeatedly pressing it.

I bought one and it arrived yesterday. Haven't fitted it yet, looks good though. Obviously it's just for showing off, but there's nothing wrong with that

Cant really see the point in this one either..

Plus its a simple stainless steel button.. maybe i'd think different if it were slightly bigger, black button with red lettering "START" lit up on it... maybe red edging around it...

if you can get it placed in the right position it will look good, not like some hole drilled in a random place on the dash.

How easy are these to fit, I've just picked one up . It says I need to jump it onto the ignition wires, can I jump these on the fuse board? What colour wires are they on the board. Any help would be great

supposedly I'm told so you can start up safely with hands ready for the clutch/brake as my advanced rider buddy tells me every time i fire up whilst stood by the side putting my skid lid on

I quite like the sound of this. It's good on car's that come with them but having to turn the ignition on first defeats the point.

my brother had this on his classic mini and im pretty sure we were told it would make the insurance go up? Those fancy pants clifford alarms with the intelistart that start the car from a button on the key fob when your stood outside the car also make the insurance go up apparently.

stands to reason.. start your car from inside and go have breakfast and then someone breaks in and drives off. or if you leave it in gear..
