hi, the EPC light came on the dash today when i switched it on in the afternoon after having already driven it. even though the light is on, there doesnt seem to be any problem with it :s any ideas on what it could be?
thanks!

Before you mess about changing it, get yourself some WD40 or maintenance spray, give the switch a really good spray then operate the switch lots and lots of times. This should cure it. then after about 5 times of turning the engine on the ecu will reset the EPC fault. I did it to mine and it has worked ever since, which is about 3 years ago.

fixed it by just pressing the brake loads of times and switching off and on :)

if pressing the brake has sorted it I would take it off and clean it and that should do the trick, It clearly isn't broke so why replace it.

Its the design thats flawed. It will continue to fail after a while, you really need the new designed one to sort the problem.

As per your other thread, if you "bodge fix" cars like "just taking it off and cleaning it" I wouldnt like to buy one of your cars!
