That filter looks much bigger than the K&N cone one you can get. Let me know if it makes much of a difference :)

Yeah SERE is the best place for the grills, the standard facelift ones should only be around £10 each, I know the FR ones are a lot more pricey though

Yea it does make a difference not major, but it does pull a little bit more.

Today I decided to do something that I haven't ever seen done before.

This has been done by many people:

But then I had a sudden thought and just went for it:

So that escalated into this:

Which then turned into this:

And this is the finished product:

Looks quite nice I think, yet to put on car though. Will take pics tomorrow due to it being dark.

Hows the cone filter buddy? Much of a difference? I was thinking of getting one for me

Yea man its going good it fell off once though and i luckily lifted my bonnet and it was still there in the engine bay which i was shocked at lol. i was thinking for a few days before i found it that it souns alot more beeft when i pull away, but then thought ah it must had needed running in lol. Turned out the fuc*er had fell off lol.

So as soon as i seen that i got str8 on fleebay and got myself a 64mm>50mm reducer. Was only 4.49 all in.

What you think to the grill process?

Dont think anyone has done it, have you seen anyone that has done it before because i cant put a false claim on my thread can i? lol.

Thats awesome :) i'm surprised it stayed under the bonnet as theres too much space in the 1.2 bonnet :p lmao thats quality. I'm assuming in terms of power it hasn't made a noticeable difference?

Thats a bloody bargain mate btw

What do you mean about the grill btw? You mean the painting?

It's not a noticeable difference in power but the sheet roar of the filter makes it sound mean! But for only 29.99 and 4.49 for the filter and reducer then it's a bargain! What's yours re 1.4 16v? Might make a slight difference in that if it is a 1.4.

The grill I have chopped the black panel along the top of the grill. You can see in pic 1 the black bit which blocks off the part at the top behind the slats. And in the last pic it's gone. All other pics show the process.
Lol
