Right, fitted my coilovers a week ago today, all was fine until friday when I went down the very bumpy road from work a bit fast and it started making a ridiculously loud rubbing noise.
At first I thought It was the rear tyres rubbing on the arches, as I just chucked the coilies on and didn't have time all week to sort out the height so it was running some gay reverse rake.
Raised the rears and it was still there, then figured it was coming from the front. Tried raising and lowering the front and the noise remained.
Then I realised that when getting the front coilovers into the turrets, I had to use a jack as the ARB was too stiff to just lift it up. The jack slipped out, and I didn't notice that the disc guard thing bent.
So took the wheel off today, noticed the disc guard was touching the disk so bent that back into place and I can fit my finger in the gap the whole way round.
Took it for a spin and the noise has just changed, but it definately sounds like something metallic to do with the brakes. Still got 15mm left on the front coilovers with helpers in, so its not that low, the driveshafts are clear and the tyres have a lot of space in the arches. Also its a constant noise and doesn't change over bumps so making me think something brake related.
Anyway, I'm completely out of ideas as to what it could be, anyone got any ideas?
