ok so ive decided on some springs for my LC.

would like eibach sportsline as you get a bigger drop than the 20mm pro kit.

will my LC FL be ok on standard shocks and the sportsline springs or do i need new dampers too?

and will i need to get an alignment thingy ( lol dunno whats its called) if i fit it myself

cheers

Lock

Hey Lock, all depends on how good your shocks are. I had my FR TDI lowered on those Eibach springs 18 months after getting her new. SUPERB and no rubbing issues at all, just took a few days for them to settle out :D.

78000 just had the shocks looked over cos the back end felt a bit sloppy. Said bushes slightly. Worn on the front arb I think.

Thanks rocky

Damien, what are budget shock and spring kits like. Will the shocks be worse than oem?

Seen jom kit reduced but fk do one and pi. All around 160

With suspension you pretty mcuh get what you pay for really. The JOM and FK kits are great value for money and do give handling improvements over the standard setup.

imo mate steer clear of the Pi setup, harshest ride i've ever experienced. I used to have FK coilies and even those on the lowest setting weren't ridiculous and rattly by any means so would think shocks alone would be good. Never had Jom to pass opinion.

The best kit i've ever had are Weitecs though, had 2 sets now on 2 different cars, both spring/shock setups and they are really comfy, improvement on OEM in my opinion.

Depends on your budget though. I'd personally say FK out the 3 mentioned.

I really wanted eibach springs for comfort but can't afford springs and shocks at the mo. Unfortunately ill have to go budget setup so about the 170 ish mark

running pro kit and i cant fault it ,,

for a stiffer slightly lower ride, pro kit,

for slammed and decent ride sportlines, but be careful over speedumps with the sump

What bilstein shocks?

I had bilstein shocks and Ventura springs on my old mk3 golf about 7 yr ago sure I only paid about 150.

Is the sump just really low on the leons then?

the sump on cupras hangs lower than the bumper, not so sure about the LCR due to the splitter, but they are low and cast, so if you do catch them they crack and leak, shame they werent pressed steel sumps

Yeah bit of my budget gone. I got a bit of bonus so I didn't save just need to spend it before it disappears. plus I left my phone on and the wife read my post and said 170 on shocks and springs! Lol so much for my covert op.
