Ebc discs & pagid pads lcr

Hey guys,

Turns out i wasnt suppiled with brembo discs and pads for the front. I got ebc discs and pagid pads all in for £140. Good price u think??

Question is, will these be good enough for general driving and the occasional blast?

Discs are ok, pads will probably be fine but DS2500 would be better but are more expensive
Should be ok day to day and occasional blast

Hmm think im gonna stay away from yhe ds2500s. My bro in law had em on his lcr and he said the braking is not all that until pads are propa warmed up..

How about the EBC pads?? Then at least the pads n discs would be same? What do u reckon?

Wouls steer clear of EBC pads ( red and green anyway)
I found DS2500 are similar to OE but get much better with heat
Your pagid will be fine

Yep, exactly what my bro in law said about the ds2500s. Much better with heat.

See the wife only does 3miles to work n 3 miles back, so thats hardly any time for pads to heat up. Plus thats in traffic.

Hmm cool ill stay clear of ebc then, suppose with what ive got l should be ok. brembo replacements wud have cost me a packet!

I'm getting EBC discs eventually, but with ds2500's for sure. Think really they're the best pad out there overall!

Yes Pagid are OE replacements at SEAT mate. They are fine on the back, but upfront where the braking is done better to invest than be sorry. Brakes/tyres are critical imo and money cannot be skimped on for cheaper poor alternatives which may save your life one day!

Upfront allday long it's EBC discs with ds2500's for me. Motul fluid too. Ordering all of that plus OE rear discs/pads from bill @ Badger5 in the upcoming months

there is something wrong with your relations brakes then.
glazed pads probably if thats how they react.
they have better bite over OE pads across the whole temp range

Cheers for the advice bud, however ive now found front brembo pads on a website for 36.75 all in inc. delivery.

EBC discs and BREMBO pads should be fine? as brembo originally did the calipers and pads for the front on the LCR.

Here you mate!!! Bargain! For original BREMBO front pads!! Way cheaper than the DS2500's. And original OE as the LCR came out the factory!

I Might be wrong but i've been reading up alot lately as I'm replacing the front setup on my LC and i thought read that some people have had issues with ebc discs and other pads and warping, and had to use ebc pads. Just thought id give you the heads up incase. If i had the cash id definatly go for the ds2500's

EBC pads are no good but there discs are.. especially when run with ds2500's defo.

Well i was thinking of ebc discs and brembo pads, but if u look on the link i posted up just now, theyre really cheap on brembo. Im just trying to get a price on their front discs now. If ita reasonable ill get brembo discs and pads.

as it happens, they dont stock the brembo normal vented discs in 323mm unless you want grooved or drilled which are well expensive.

Brembo only made the calipers and the pads for the LCR so will stick with the ebc discs as got them real cheap. ppl might have had bad experiences with ebc discs, ppl might have had good experiences with ebc discs, but each to their own really. im going to try my combo and see how it goes.
