Hi, first time post and thread starter so dont shoot me down if i get something wrong:help:

Ive emailed my local dealer to get a price for supply, paint & fit a rear spoiler to my Mk5 1.6 TDI SC. The Price quoted was £273. I wondered how this compared with what other people have been quoted?

Ive managed to get it down to £255 with buying the spoiler direct from Seat as they have currently got a 10% sale on some parts on their website. Looks like I will have to do some shopping around or find someone to paint and fit none Seat

The garage ive got a quote from for spraying and fitting are charging £150 + VAT (£30). Im guessing this sounds pretty expensive compared to what other peeple have got it done for...

Heres a price from Southampton Seat. Completely ridiculous and the guy i was first emailing was a complete tool.

Hi

Further to your chat with Ian in parts, the cost to fit and paint the rear spoiler is a further £274.74 inc of VAT.

Therefore the total cost would be £379.74 inc of VAT.

What the hell would i have been paying for?! Thats not the price for a rear tailgate spoiler. I'll just go to my local i think!

Just buy the part ask not to be fitted save you money it's only a matter of few bolts sod paying for that to be fitted easy job!!

Think i'd wanna get it done professionally or at least by someone who knows what they're doing.

I wouldn't dare pay nearly £400 for it, absolute rip off for that.

Honestly don't need do it professionally get it sprayed then take it home need 2 pple 1 to hold in place 1 to bolt it on look at your car literally to large bolts ! 5 mins wham bam thank u man
