I have learnt my lesson good and proper. When you have a chip...get it done.

Went out to my car on my lunch about to pop to Halfords when my friend pointed out to me the chip had got bigger. I was a tad confused, thinking no it hasn't. Big fat crack from the passenger side edge, through the chip and out the other side.

After spending forever trying to get through to the right department with my insurance i finally got the answer i wanted, about who does the replacement. Just need a date now, feel like i don't wanna drive the car as i don't want it to further crack. Had the car a year in April and it does this to me. Boohoo

Think it was the coldness of this morning and the day suddenly heating up causing it to contract as it was fine this morning when i scraped the ice off the windscreen.

Anybody had previous car windscreens replaced by National Windscreen, are they ok?

Once more because im angry and upset :censored: and a slap to me for being silly!

I've got a crack in my windscreen that needs doing just a nightmare working out when i'm going to be around for them to do it!

you shouldnt of been at halfrauds in the first place ;) . national windscreens were useless to me, came first time round with wrong screen but second time around they got it right.

Been there, done it and learnt my lesson with my old car...

Autoglass were very good though, fitted me in the next day, was about 12hrs after i rang i had it replaced

Haha, i didn't even get to go there in my own car so maybe the car was telling me something.

Rang the branch close to me in Salisbury and they are coming tomorrow to do it yay!
Doubt the people at customer services would ever have rang me back.

Glad its being though and i won't ignore the chip next time if it happens haha. £70 though...:( thats part of the money towards my spoiler.

not wanting to sound like an autoglass rep - but when my windscreen on my clio was cracked, i showed autoglass the insurance certificate and they did all the paperwork with insurance etc....... i didnt even contact the insurance company :)

i had my fiesta for 3 months from new and i was driving to get my gf (she didnt drive at the time) and some wee ball bag jumps out from his garden and throws a handful of chuckies at me (orange driveway stones) chipped my windscreen in 2 places dented and took the paint off just above the lights and dented the rear quarter panel in 2 places on the drivers side cost mes £60 excess for the windscreen and £300ish for the dents to be fixed and resprayed the WHOLE rear quater panel cause of where it was (the dent)

Rosser: What a twat!

Just booked my car in for tomorrow with autoglass :) Should have done it last week lol Thanks for the reminder Char ;)

Haha good to hear!

Be so glad when mines done tomorrow. Was driving very carefully on the way home tonight. Covered the crack up tonight as it's gonna frost over.

I know that feeling, just had to have mine replaced, noticed a chip last Saturday morning went out for a drive and it split in right across the bottom of the windscreen within 20 mins, the funny bit was the chip wasn't there Friday night.

Thats a bit odd, luckily mine hasnt cracked anymore so far today. Just waiting for the guy to turn up at some point.

Just got it done and sorted :) He managed to save my gel pads on my richbrook ibiza tax disc holder too so stuck them on for me. Woo!

So glad its done, i've learnt from my mistakes anyway.

Nah i don't fancy paying £70 again that was meant towards my spoiler. Now i'll have to save up for that part again.

I think my Boca has had a new screen before i got her.

I had Autoglass do my of Hyundai Coupe. Took then 5 goes and 4 screens to get it right. Was a nightmare.
