Right time to start a blog i think.

1st Hi my names Martin in 23 and i come from Essex.
Iv always liked Leon mk1's and now im old enough to afford the insurance i decided this year was a good time to buy one. I hunted around for a little while looking for one in the Platinum colour but they were all out of my price range.

Then i come across a standard red one not too far away from me. Went and had a look at it and was in very good condition, barly any marks on the body (dont get me wrong there is the odd one here and there) The wheels were a little scuffed but i wasnt fussed about that. It has 65k on the clocks with a full service history. I bought it back in January but have just had a chance to take a few pictures.

Ahh picture time!! As i bought it.

Welcome to the LCR clan mate :) You need to have posted I think 15 times before you are able to post up pics and links etc.

You have much planned for the car? Where abouts in Essex are you?

Erm...... plans.
Not alot really, il probably just get stage1 remap for it. Want to lower it and bring the wheels out by 10mm or so. other than that just keepit clean and tidy i think.

Heres a picture of the current splitter

And heres the new splitter, Took me a little time to get th old one off, cut knuckles by punching the floor. But looks much better, no splits or scuffs.

Lets hope i can keep it that way.

Nice :) Once you've got stage 1 you'll probably want stage 2, it's a slippery slope. Be cool to see what you end up doing with it.

Nice R mate...

Splitters now cost £45 from the stealers as oppose to £28/£29 last year, big price hike so you have to watch those driveways. Least your not lowered like me, it's a nightmare sometimes.

But very rewarding cars if you put the effort in :)

I havnt got many plans for the car in the near future as im saving for a house.
But the plans are as follows.

Get a REVO trial map to see the potential. Then possibly Stage 1 if i like what i drive.

Lower the car just on springs and bring the wheels out by 10mm each or so.

Thinking roof bars too.... Go for the Euro look but litle subtle changes.

And to keep it clean and spotless.

Cheers Tilley, saw you too polishing ya car, did give you a thumbs up. Looks sweet too, love the colour and 1.4tsi with 226bhp is genius.

Yeah i did think that Tom, Cant really justify spending £600+ on an exhaust ect as im trying to save fo a house at the moment, and if the missus catch's wind id spend that type of money shed kill me lol. Who know, it might happen.

I'm sure you'll be happy with it either way mate, it's a lovely motor. I hate looking at readers rides cause I wish I'd got a red one, then I wish I'd got a black one, then a yellow one etc  Judging by the pictures it's in awesome nick too. Hows the state of the interior?

I've heard some people say that once the revo trial runs out it leaves the car with less power than it started with. Not sure if it's true but worth checking up I think.

The interior is in mint condition Tom, no wear or marks anywhere. I didnt realise these cars have black interior head lining which i love. Makes the car look so much sportier i think. I would have liked a platinum silver but they were all outside my price range.

Wheels are a little scuffed will probably get them referbed 1 by 1. Dont know whether to keep them the standard colour or get them done a matt black or gloss black. I think black wheels are very common now though and want the car to be different and stand out to others. Any opinions lads and lass's

Agree mate everywhere you go you see cars with black wheels now. Its a nice contrast against the red but if i had my way id do mine a real bright silver again.

Gloss black does look the part though although you need a good tyre shine!!
