After contemplating this for a long, long time I've decided to put finger to key and do my own thread for my 2002 Leon Cupra. She has 76k on the clock.

Here she is pretty much as she is today.

in the dark and dirty

Didn't realise how much I'd done until I started to list it. After delaying modding my car for 18 months I got the bug again after owning a Passat B5 1.8t and doing a load of stuff to it I grew up for a while (LOL) then went back into remission.

This post was a impulse so will add loads of pics if you approve.

Cheers

i had 3 other people helping my vinyl wrap the roof on my old a4! :p it was a right pain lol, 4 hours it took :(

looks alright though!

Thanks, I think it has alot to do with the quality of the vinyl as I tried to do it last summer in black gloss and it was horrific look like a teenagers face. Carbon wrap was relatively easy and took me about an hour and half. Only cost £20 too. Bargain

looking good :) just not a big fan of the stickers on the rear window, or the steering wheel. would a mk2 leon steering wheel fit this? would look great with one of those!
and i personally prefer stickers on one corner of the window. but each to their own! :D
roof looks really good, and i like those lower front leds as well!

Cheers, I guess the stickers come from hanging out with the Vber's alot and I am gonna wrap my steering wheel same as the roof. I like it cause its smaller and feels more direct. Never thought of the Mk2 one TBH had a look on Fleabag but not seen anything and with our for sale section closed I'll have a trawl.

its something i always tend to change... seats and steering wheel :p i like to be different lol, just put subaru impreza seats in my a3 :)

i can imagine the steering to be a lot better with that steering wheel thoguh, a bit more feedback through it, and makes driving the car a bit sportier :)

Just out of interest, how hard were putting the seats in?

You going to VAG Fest in Leeds this year VAGerbond?

hey mate. about half an hour job per seat. depends how the runners work, grinding and welding skills...

i basically had to cut the runners off the original audi seats and get them into a secure, safe state.. by welding a long metal bar across the back of the runners to for a square shape.

i then unbolted the runners off the subaru seats and lined the audi runners up to the seat.
trick is to use a spirit level to make sure its flat first. tack the welds and test BEFORE fully welding it, as you may need to make modifications.

I found that aftermarker seats tend to sit higher because the original ones are very very low.

the subaru seats are the comfiest seats i've ever sat in! had them in my a4 before this lol

back seats are in, bit more work, but nearly there :D its all fun and games... and who else can say that have 2005 subaru impreza seats in there audi a3? :p
