FULL Vagcom working... Good night with demonite
Tonight I went to see my mate Chris (demonite on here) and to try get my vagcom working and then use it to turn on his alarm chirp! To cut a long story short, we 1st of all got vagcom activated and then run a scan on his car, great success bringing up zero faults
Next was new territory for me.. I knew you could turn the alarm chirp on using vagcom but I couldn't remember where it was from seeing it done on my other mates' LCR. So a bit of exploring and SCN on the mobile phone
we got into where this was and changed the value to 1. Tested the chirp and it's working as it should. Good stuff
I'm going to use this vagcom of mine to check, log and tweek my car wherever I can. Cannot wait to get stuck into this and be able with it.
So after logging Chris' LCR and finding no faults, of course it was time to scan mine... Yep you guessed it, 3 fault codes
They are pasted below:
3 Faults Found:
17705 - Pressure Drop between Turbo and Throttle Valve (check D.V.!)
P1297 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16716 - Knock Sensor 2 (G66): Signal too Low
P0332 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16517 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1: Response too Slow
P0133 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: 0000 0000
1st one surely boost leak as I already have had this one before. But no idea where it's coming from.. The car is flying (and I think Chris would vouch for this after the little blast I took him on to show him stage 2
lol) so I'm not convinced it's a massive boost leak from the feel of the car and being dark couldn't do a visual check under the bonnet.
2nd fault I've never seen or heard of, can someone please enlighten me on this?
3rd fault. Lambda, this is surely caused by the boost leak?
Thoughts on any of the above appreciated. Cheers!
