Yeah, that is rubbish news Sam, though thank god it didnt happen on the motorway at high speed or anything. I know what I'd have effing bricked myself (um... metaphorically of course ) if that happened to me. I hope that it doesnt set you back too much to put right mate.

Yay found a black bonnet for 50 quid, going upto nottingham tonight to pick it up woop woop. Its from a 1.4 leon so just to check all bonnets are the same ?

Is your car non metalic? Two different types of blacks...You may need to machine polish the car to get a nice "color" match.

Thanks jonjay, yeah my car is non metalic and im sure the bonnet is. Acording to the guy its in good condition, no dents just a few tiny surface straches that will polish out. I always had in my mind that it will need a respray so if it doesnt then its a added bonus

My LCRs got loads of stone chips, not sure if carbon fibre would look a bit naff on the bonnet? Iv been thinking about wrapping it carbon fibre for while. Might do matt black or two matt black stripes. Too OTT? Mines black too
