Worth a remap on a 1.4?

Hello

I have a 1.4 16v 100ps Ibiza,

Because of the engine being naturally aspirated, I wouldn't gain much bhp unlike a turbo, but what about MPG and economy?

Should see better mpg, but whether the price of a remap against the saving of fuel is worth it is another question.

Even if its just 10hp increase it's still 10% which isn't too bad if you ask me. Each to their own though

Obviously the bigger engines map better

be lucky to see 10bhp, more like 5

for natural aspiration you need to improve the in&out
so air intake and exhaust system, that will see most gains

well at a reasonable price lol
cams or throttle bodies give good gains but at a price!
better of getting a different ibiza for the cost

Well i'd honestly be surprised if the 100hp only got 5hp gain, I mean even the 1.2 maps higher than that

I've already fitted a new exhaust to try and improve speeds lol, my next step is get a induction kit.

Its pretty expensive but I think if i had the money i'd give it a try.

Has anyone ever had one of the viper induction kits? feedback on them?

Thought I'd revive this post and tell you I have remapped it.

I wasn't expecting it to be much faster but having it done it is now much more responsive and it climbs through the revs alot faster.

I am happy about the outcome of a remap. If you got money to blow then I'd recommend it. Mind you I have the 98bhp 1.4 so I guess I would get more out of it then a lower bhp model.

Dont know figures im afraid. Got it cheap so it didnt include rolling roads etc.

I went with a bloke who uses Viezu software and I payed £100 for it
