Ok, they are crazy reliable
and have a good gearbox to suit
but all the power is top end! I prefer to have a bit of low down torque for everyday cruising

Have found a car on autotrader which I'm thinking of enquiring about - however it seems autotrader is down at the moment.
Am I allowed to post a link to the car on autotrader to see what everyone thinks of it once the site is back up?

Don't see why not.
Although on another forum i saw somebody post a car that was ebay, to see what everyone else thought... then someone else off the forum went and bought it because it was such a good buy. Very low act... but hey ho.
Well I don't think it looks like a particularly great deal - not so good that someone would steal it from under my nose I would hope anyway!
Autotrader is still down so I'll pop it on when it comes back up and maybe see what people think (Too expensive or whatever)

No, only petrol at the moment. I think that's what I'm looking for at this point in time but the way fuel prices are at the moment; you'll probably see another thread in a few months and I'll be looking for a TDI!
Been down the country after setting off earliy this morning & looked at 3 cars, have to say I'm totally disappointed because the adverts didn't mention any of the problems with these cars. Even spoke to the sellers on the phone prior to visits to ask if there was anything I should know so not to waste my journey, etc and nothing was mentioned.
One car even had dents on the roof and a crap spray job on the back quarter yet they thought I'd not notice - w*$^er!
I use my current car daily, however I don't really take any pride in it, where as I want to look after my ibiza when I get it. Considering getting a lift into work from a friend who lives down the road to save on my fuel bill & keep the miles down on my car
