Window Tinting in West Midlands?

Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone knows of any decent places in the West Midlands that are able to tint the Leon Mk2 Windows, including the 2 plexi-glass door handle cut-outs?

I know there are various ways round it such as vinyl and tinted laquer spray, just looking for somewhere that does it around here.

Has anyone had theirs done in the area and how does it look?

The windows have a slight tint to them already - is this not enough? Be very wary of aftermarket tinting - traffic police often carry the testing kit with them and you'll be forced to get them sorted if they are too dark.

My windows are un-tinted, It's not a high spec model such as the stylance or FR/Cupra where the rear windows are factory tinted.

Its only the rear windows I'm after getting done, so the fun police can do anything as it is 100% legal to tint the rears to whatever you like.

A friend owns a Mk2 Leon Stylance. That has rear quarter windows + rear window tinted as factory.
On my FR, that has the same windows tinted.

Interestingly - The Stylance is a metallic Luna Grey/Silver (?), and the tint looks darker against this lighter colour paintwork. On my Black FR, the tint doesnt look as dark.

I've owned cars in the past with mildly tinted windows back AND Front (driver and passenger windows) - its never had issues with MOT or the Police.

Think if you go for a "Limo tint" on the front sides, you are asking for trouble.
