I take it you just get the rust off the callipers as drums first? Using a wire brush or something?
Yes mate that's the one, I left the rear drums on and just rubbed them with a wire brush, but I took the front calipers off to paint. You could do them on the car, I just fancied an excuse for a brake fluid change while I was at it.

Lol :p I'll be leaving mine on thanks :p to much effort to change fluid and then clear the air out of it

You got enough of the hammerite for me to do my rears black and fronts red? Might buy it off you if there is, can't be bothered buying new tins that will sit in the garage for years after :p

Just a few pictures of my recent work... red brake calipers, black rear drums, a wash and tyres dressed with the most expensive dressing I've ever bought!

WARNING - don't luck too closely at the alloys, they're full of kerb rash from the previous owner... I know I need to get them refurbed. :( Don't look at the small damage on my driver's wing either... again it was there when I bought it :(

I need to crack on with modding this thing properly...

Looks very clean and good job on the painting. Looks this the front wing is rusting slightly at the edge?

@ Chris_A_73 that colour is brisa blue on the facelift model.

Would like to do facelift bumpers at some stage, but my insurers aren't so keen on the idea. :(

I told you not to look  haha yeah it's been like that since I got it, going to get it repaired some time sooner rather than later.

I'm going to have to take some pictures somewhere else, my driveway's hardly ideal

Never got round to changing the standard one... yet :(

Just don't know what to do next, anthracite wheel refurb or a few small mods such as Polo wiper, flip key, Lamin-x, Silvatec bulbs etc

I'd save for a new set of alloys.. be the same price as gettin those refurbed properly. facelift bumpers would set it off after tht..

I can get them refurbed for £160 or I can have a go myself. Only problem is if I went for new wheels, there's not a huge choice for £160 really, especially if I went to 17s and ended up needing to buy tyres again.

nice lookin car mate

iv noticed that you have a gap in between your stereo and the cubby hole bit of a tip swop them over put stereo at bottom it fits perfect and when using drinks holder dont get in way of stereo hope it helps

good advice. i was forced to do this ( z-action screen sat infront of the blowers otherwise ) but it does make more sense! and also if you do upgrade to a screen you already have it set up :D

Agree with this and the sports alloys look great when done right

Just spend ages looking for the drivers wing damage and had to get the seeing glasses out so its not that obvious! Took me about 3 visits to the thread

Clearly everybody isn't quite as eagle-eyed as that rf860 bugger :bleh:
I regret sellin my sports wheels sold them dirt cheap aswel gutted :(
Loved the colour of your sports alloys
+1! Your old alloys looked the dogs danglies Adam!

Cheers guys I sold them for £120 with tyres could of got more I think :( I might try and get some more I'd have to keep 17s aswel as I go away every year to a log cabin and with 16s I can't get to the cabin as its farms tracks with 17s on it stil rubs but not as much
