Cheers guys I sold them for £120 with tyres could of got more I think :( I might try and get some more I'd have to keep 17s aswel as I go away every year to a log cabin and with 16s I can't get to the cabin as its farms tracks with 17s on it stil rubs but not as much
I'd have bought them off you at that price... and some!
ha ha chris, i have good attention to detail!
Knowing what you're like (or at least what I can tell from your RR), I expect nothing less than 10/10 attention to detail from you!

Nice transformation from standard Chris.. Keep the mods coming :p

Just noticed you've got the Rainsport 2's on... How do you find them on the Ibiza? I've had them previously on another car, and I think they will be my next choice on the Ibiza.

Cheers Mick. It's a big change from standard yes, unfortunately it was so basic to start with I've still a long way to go!

With regard to the RainSport 2s... pro's and cons:

- Dry grip is as good as any other I've tried
- Wet grip is better than most, not quite as good as the Eagle F1 GSD3s but I'm hardly exploring the limits of adhesion with a 1.2 :p
- They're quiet
- Decent rim protection, again not as good as the GSD3 but acceptable
- Cost £40 less per pair than the GSD3
- Only real con with them, they have quite a soft, flexy sidewall, which sometimes make them look underinflated when parked up. You can get round this though by putting in 2 or 3 more psi.

I think I've covered just about every area there ^

Yeah thats great, cheers Chris. Think you've confirmed it!

I was running them on 195/50/15 previously and from what I remember they did look slightly under-inflated. Only bad thing with that is, they are already 40 profile, so hit a pothole and theres basically no cushion till it hits the rim :p They are £80 a corner I think in the 17's, so I'll be giving them a go next! Cheers mate :)

So 3 button flip key, new blank blade and new SEAT key badge have been ordered. Gives me something to play with over the coming week. :)

Also while I was out and about I found a better place than my driveway to take pictures  so... as you do...

Excuse the dirty wheels, pictures were taken a week after it was last washed. :p

Get a polo/facelift wiper on that arse end boy ;)

She's a cracker, looking good! :)
Cheers mate, I quite agree, I'm looking to order one in the next fortnight. :)
nice clean car Blanco :D
Cheers Suj, means a lot coming from you, your Bora looks immense.
Now an SX pretty much! Looks really well done though!
Cheers Veyron :)
you are a bit out the lines but sure you will get there eventually  ;)

Car is looking good as ever mate
Haha I've always struggled with parking, now you all know! Nooooo ;) Cheers Andy.
Dammit Andy I Was Going To Say That

Looks Nice Chris, Needs A Facelift/Fr Touch Up Though :D
Thanks Alex... I'm trying so hard to avoid the urge to change the bumpers. I really want an Aero kit in an ideal world.

Hmm... I like the Aero though! I thought that was subtle. Okay, not as subtle as say an FR, but subtle compared to Fiesta ST, Corsa VXR etc that I see locally!

In all honesty a change of bumpers probably isn't going to happen for some time. There's a fair chance the Ibiza is going to get parked up in November for a long time... I'm leaving the country for a while. :ban:

To be honest it isn't the best, is a two button key and the case is battered. I brought it with the intention of getting a new case if i could get it to work but had no luck. If you cover postage its all yours!

Does the boot button actually work on this blanco? I have the two button one.
It does. :D

On the 'rents Audi, if you press the boot button, the boot pops. However the Ibiza doesn't have this mechanism built into the boot lock. But now with the 3 button key, if you walk up to it (locked car) and press the boot button, just the boot unlocks. Close the boot, and it re-locks automatically. The whole time, all the doors remain locked.
Mine wouldn't work with my car so i ended up giving up :(
Have you given it a go with VAG-COM/VCDS? If so, remember you need to re-code all the remotes (old and new) for the car at the same time.

The other option (assuming you are coding it correctly) is that the remote part of the key is knackered. Believe me it does happen, my dad's VW T5 van had hundreds spent on it trying to make the remotes work, 2x new CCUs, new wiring to the CCU etc when the real problem was actually that the remotes of BOTH keys were just knackered!

You could always buy just the remote bit off eBay for £20 (new), pop your bladed part on, code it and see if it works?

Hmm i haven't heard about this vag-com thing before or wasn't aware that i had to recode the standard one as well! I took it to a car key specialist to get the key cut and he tested it and confirmed the key was working and giving off a signal.

Do you have any step by step instructions on how to do it from scratch mate?
