I need another permanent live for a multi-colour boost gauge

I've fitted the gauge and it works fine, but it doesn't store the last colour selected, as unlike my previous gauge only had two wires, this one has three, I've been told by the manufacturer that I need a permanent live going to it?!

Can anyone point me in the right direction, i've followed this guide to fit it, but need another alternative permanent live:

Under the fuse box there are switched & permanent live 'fixings'

As above or the actual fuse box as a positive live, get your mutli-meter out as i can't recall the colour.

I have a electric meter but ain't got a clue how to use it, I'm going to ask my brother to do it......... no shame in admitting I don't know how

One wire goes to a good earth ie metal on the car and the other wire you want to test.
You are looking for a wire that stays 12+v when no keys are in the ignition, try a red one on the back of the fuse box.

Yeah same as, I understand the concept but no idea what to do with the massive twirly knob in the middle. (and I'm not referring to me there either!)

haha mo if you give me the time i will tell you which one i used later its on the lights you can also use one i just cant remember which color i used and being an electrician yea i know how to use them

On same subject wheres best "switched live" closest to a pillar, i have mine hooked up into the light switch at the minute and now when i put my headlights on the gauge goes off, shows how good i am with wiring
