Getting a bit bored of the leon after 3 years of ownership and was looking for something else that has a few toys on them (e.g. bluetooth etc).

Was looking at the Scirocco GT 2.0 TSI 10 plate was 18k. But the lack of toys really bother me as well as the 2 seats in the back so not sure on this yet, test drove one and they are miles ahead of the leon in comfort / quality and handling.

Want something that is maximum of 2 years old so still have a bit warranty left and nothing over £18k.

Don't want french or italian and bare in mind that i am 24 so insurance may be an issue on some suggestions.

Also Seat dealer offered me £8500 for mine which i told there where to go nicely! They they said they would offer me £10k, still think its a little low

26000 miles
2008 (08)
Candy White
18" alloys
Full Seat dealer service history
Bluetooth
Winter Pack (heated seats, etc)
Convenience Pack
Well looked after

I think it's a little low, I got £12k for my old Leon FR TDI. It had 16k miles sunroof, bluetooth, winter pack, conv pack, black 18's etc.

It's on the dealers forecourt at the moment for £13.350

MDS - How could you be bored? I would love your one, but alas, its well out of my price range!!
Good luck with the sale!

golf it is then, or focus or skoda or vxr or audi. tbh i aint got a clue but was hoping to see a few good suggestions

I would have a golf but the GTI has a tartin (sp?) interior which i don't like, and not that fussed on full leather interior lol. Dont like fords or skodas, mate had a VXR and didnt like that either lol.

Audi i would have but not an A3 as they are common and they have had roughly the same shape for the last 10 year! lol

Im fussy!

Current book figure for that age and millage is 10.2K so 10K not that far off 8.5K is an insult unless they thought it was a TFSi

Im also looking for a new car so will keep an eye on this thread. So far I have looked at:

Golf GTI (Tartan car seats - WTF?!)
Scirocco
TT Coupe
A5 Cabriolet
370Z
Merc C-Class Saloon / Coupe
Z4 (soooo uncomfortable!)
1 Series / 3 Series (Boooooring!)

I need inspiration! :snack:

And spend 85% of the year in the garage fubar'd probably

LOL. A few yes, mine only been off once for the boot lid. It's a lottery, just like with any other car and I believe the revised engine replaces this twin charger next year with a 1.6T engine VW will be using in the BTCC polo r. Just a thought, use, don't use it.

I'm close to the trade and thats is a good part ex price [ I only got 14.5k for a 10 plate 3months ago] trouble is there is more money to be made in second hand cars than new now & most use C.A.P. not Glass's guide which screws the price real l o w. ................................

I’m in a similar predicament. I have an 04 Cupra R and getting really fed up with the rough ride now, it’s starting to really hack me off, every little bump and crease in the road just irritates me.

Looked at the Scirocco, but can’t get much out of it when you tune it compared to the mk2 Leon.

Golf R is too expensive as is the Rocco R.

TT Coupe is not worth it unless you go TTS or TTRS, and again, out of my budget

Staying away from BMW’s as I have my opinions of them, all I’ll say is that they’re obviously great cars, I just don’t want one.

Audi A5? But then only a 210BHP engine, and not as tunable as the mk2 Cupra.

I guess ideally i would have a mk2 Cupra with comfy / soft suspension, but that wouldn't really work when i wanted to go mad and enjoy myself on twisty roads....

Volvo Coupe / Convertible thing? with the 2.5 Turbo of course. But it’s a heavy car and you’d be missing out on power lost due to its weight…does look smart though. Oh yeah of course, there’s the C30.

Golf ED30? same as cupra engine. this is what i want next

Hmm, but it's just a Golf at the end of the day, its not really out of the norm. At least with a Leon it's different, and Rocco looks brill as well as not being very common.
