Recently I've noticed a ever so slight lump'ish idle, jerky, can feel the exhaust moving like, this never use to happen before, the car slightly down on power too, a few flat spots too, well that's what it feels like, could may well be the warm weather

So I plugged it in VCDS and read the engine idle rpm, and it varies between 720-760 it's not constant

My question is, is this normal? what blocks do I need to measure to find out if there's a problem with the coil packs? because to me they seem to be the suspects, I've changed everything else.

if you stick the air con on does it smooth it out slightly?

Do you have an uprated dbm?

Idle speed sounds OK to me, but it shouldn't be jerly and lumpy.

Measure block 14,15 and 16 in the engine controller. This is the misfire counter and it 'should' tell you whcih cylinder it is on.

On idle. For some reason it changes to misfire recognition disabled when you press the throttle pedal.

There might be a different block to measure WOT misfires.

Tech Data says idle should be 760 +/- 80. Sounds very similar to my prob. Changed plugs n coils checking MAF and coolant sensor n pipes for leaks
