Straight swap? I'd be tempted with that.

My payments go up a few quid but not by to much

Im tempted just cant decide for defo

Overall it probably makes sense as hopefully it will cause me less problems than the Boc

hmmm i have a horrible feeling mine has developed this fault... only now noticed it though going over bumps especially, also when changing between d/n/r/p, when on the brakes and a little under acceleration... only 3k on the clock.

gunna take a trip to the dealers and pray as i love the car!!

Prolly they'll you it's a normal thing like all of us but goodluck
Please let us know what they say

Dealership has offered me a Leon FR as a replacement for my Boc

Slightly newer less mileage think it was a demo

Not sure what to do
Just got rid of an 09 FR TDI, better MPG (a lot) handled better, but not as much fun as the Bocanegra, also the FR was not without its problems, DPF light coming on now and then (you then got to take it out for a long hard blast up a dual carriageway or similar, also the filter regeneration means every now and then the tickover increases to around 1000rpm, must admit the rattly box doesn't bother me, just turn the music up !! once out on the open road dont notice it, good luck whatever you decide.

Something else to think about, was up at dealers recently and its not going to be too long before the new shape 2 door Leon is out, if you haven't already seen the concept there are a few pics around on interweb, it looks awesome, similar shape to scirroco but better, if it was me i would hold off till that bad boy comes out.

2 door Leon?? I didn't even know one was coming out.

Linky please :)

This thread has strayed away completely from the point in hand - take the 2 door leon to a new thread.

I am holding off booking my car in for another look at the garage i bought it from so i can get some more feedback from people who are having this problem. The garage is expecting me to book it in so are probably wondering where i've gone.

SAM - HOW DID YOU AND THE GARAGE COME TO THE CONCLUSION OF CHANGING THE CAR? It's not something i really want to do but to get to that point means that someone has admitted that something isnt right. Please help me dude - its so embarrassing driving round a rattley car and it kills me to think how much i've paid for a premium product that isnt perfect :( boo

They've not admitted it... Else they'd swap it out. All they're offering is to sell him a new car they have on their forecourt by the sounds of it

Not seen the article myself but a friend tells me that there is a piece on the noisy DSG in this month’s Auto Express. Picture features a Boc. I got the impression they were saying that it is normal. Not sure if that was the magazine's point of view or Seat’s. Apparently, the person concerned had already had the DSG changed and the new one gave the same issues.

Just to reiterate, this is second hand info

answer my own question!

is this sam from this forum?

I've never heard the gear clusters "knocking together" in a manual gearbox which is "idle" when you coast over a speedbump with the clutch down?

How would a software fix stop the idle gear clusters "knocking together"?
