Mk4 Ibiza Cupra TDi owners stand up and be counted!!!

A Cupra TDi is way my list of potential next cars but my god they appear to be rare...the SEAT used car site have none!

So I was just wondering how many owners are on here?

Remap is essential.

Thought a few times about changing my Cupra, but not much else is as quick that can return 50mpg easily and be bought fairly cheaply. There are faster cars, and there are more economical ones... but the cupra tdi is pretty damn good blend of the two.

Cupra tdi... gives you wings.

Another one here. Had from new and remapped from when 3 months old.
As already said, very good mix of performance, handling, braking and running costs make it very difficult for me to change.

Mines 4 years old in September so I would normally have changed cars by now for a newer one but can't justify it because nothing else really comes close for the cost in changing.

I have one, I'ts awesome!....keeps up with a lot of "faster cars" and mine is standard!

I sympathise with you on how hard it is to find a good one, I drove 200 miles to look at a grey one in Sheffield and it turned out to be utter shite! (Still for sale on auto trader- for the love of god don't buy it!), then travelled 300 miles to get the one i have now (luckily it was well worth it)

But it does have the seat "niggles" so to speak.....creaks, bumps, rattles, windnoise!

I had a Fabia VRS before it and that was nice too, but the cupra is a lot more fun to drive and handles soo much better!

I was looking at FR's too but decided to go all out and hold on for a cupra (its worth it for the extras)

I've had mine for about 6months, had 1 or 2 wee probs (buggered MAF) but absolutely love it, fast car and very economical. Mine is standard...

Just had a look on Autotrader.. there is not many out there for sale atm. Was lots to choose from when i bought mine. Wonder if it's because the people who have them are holding onto them perhaps?

I did type a bit here about it but then I accidently clicked back and lost it all. Needless to say, I love it. Cheap tax, reliable, quick, economical and it'll hold it's value because of these factors. Quick diesels are very sought after.

I can count the number of problems I've had on 1 hand, and even 1 of them was down to me.
- Boost pipe popped off (Replaced hose clamp; a few quid from B&Q)
- Clutch slipping (due to remap; replaced with Sachs clutch)
- Brake light switch (replaced)
- Outer CV Boot (bought but not replaced)

Only complaint I've got is that it doesn't have a boot light!

Yeah I've seen the guide on here somewhere and the list of parts. Priced them all up and that's about as far as it got.

No boot light for me....Didn't realise how useful it was until i found i didn't have one!

My Petrol one didn't have one and it was a facelift.
Khans is a non facelift.

Took mine out for a spin yesterday, just because i can afford to!
When i had my old mk3 cupra i found i had to really plan my journeys as it cost so much more to run! - The grin factor was slightly better with the mk3 petrol but the wallet is a lot happier with the TDI!

Had mine for 7 years now, bought new and done 90k miles

Only had a couple of minor problems (air con fan burnt out, causing compressor to seize temporarily damaging the pulley)

The plan was to keep it for 3 years then get an audi s3 but it's such a good rare car, I'm going to keep it a bit longer

Mine is a facelift, but it did have different gear knob and seat design to yours. Mine has electric folding mirrors too
