You could get a manual boost controller and run it in parallel with the n75. This will put your engine managemtn light on if you go mad with it, as the ECU will think there's a boost leak.

Why do you want to reduce boost?

no not really, not without giving yourself other issues. You will need to get a remap to adjust boost levels without causing the ECU to go into limp mode.

Could the actuated rod not be unscrewd a little, 1/4 to 1/2 a turn ??

yes there is nothing to stop this (to a degree, if you go too far it will go into limp mode). Its just not recommended.
