Interior door handle removal.

I'm removing my door handles to try and spray or vinyl them but can't get the passenger one off. I've removed one bit but can't get the other off the door.
Any help please.

Yes you do, i hope you have'nt broke it! You defo need to remove the door card. I'll give you a hand if you want?

This is what I had tried but it kept peeling and I'm already sick of pushing it back into place.

yeah does'nt look right, need to do inside the grab handle and the window switches scoop. I'm going to try gloss black plasti-kote when i get paid - so skint can't even afford £6.98 can of paint from b&q lol

I had done the inside with another bit of vinyl, looked ok but kept coming in at the corners. I've sprayed mine gloss black just there. Drying in the garage just now.

How did you prep them?

Sanded with 240 grit. Plastic primerb sanded with 600 grit n then sprayed it gloss black. Will let it dry and sand in the morning with finer stuff (another trip to autogear) then a few clear coats.

is the stuff from autogear cheaper than halfords? Hate how things like wet sanding paper etc always cost a bomb in halfords!

Never bought it in halfords. Was about 40p a sheet. Is that good?

Yeah you bought it in autogear duh! That's very cheap compared to halfords, i paid £4 odds for 4 or 5 sheets of wet sand paper!

Today's work. Managed to get the door card off, used a lot of primer and spraypaint up.

How did you remove those handles?

Mine are peeling like **** :/

The full drivers side handle can be remove by just clipping it off but th passenger side, only half of it comes off. Need to take the door card off for the whole handle.

Peeling? They are just hard plastic, no rubber to be seen on mine I'm sure they are cheap to buy new tbh.
