Best Tyres for an LCR?

We all know LCR's eat tyres so sny reccomendations as to what I should get when I replace mine.

Mates got/had Vradestein Sessanta's which he loved and where very good.

Had Prada Spec-2's on my 1.6 Leon I liked but prob werent the best.

My LCR is currently running P-Zero's on front and Bridgestone's on back.

Ideally would like same all round for best grip.

I always use pirelli tyres especially the p zero rosso im running them at the minute quality tyre mate. My mate had the paradas and they worn down quickly their a softer compound tyre.

i got about 30,000 mies out my last set although that included alot of motorway millage.

think i paid about £110 a tyre for 205\40\r18's

I like falken fk452's just got another set to go on when wheels are painted, got 12k out of fronts, got p zero's on the back, there ok, nothing to shout about.

Falkens are good and give good feedback, pirellis are same, they let go slowly, not grip grip then go, there a good tyre, but quite soft.

To be fair if you get 12K out of these well OVNIWCE did. Then in long run they are not a cheap as the Toyo's if M20FES got 30K out of them.

FK452's in my mind with stiffened suspension H&R front and rear anti roll bars and running Revo Stage 2 are absolute crap!!! Understeer city! And poor traction in the wet, very unsettled at speed to, you will notice this more with a proper stiff set up, now I have this I no longer will buy cheap tyres, better off with Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta, or Yokohama Advan AD08's

I have run Falken FK452 and can vouch for there poor performance when on a modified car handling wise they let the car down, when I uprated my suspension and roll bars I was frustrated that the tyres were blatantly just not performing well at all!

Andy Lang knows what I mean I'm sure he will share his views on this.

It's easy to be budget minded and think tyres are tyres, but.... They just are not really they are not, Toyo's are soft and fairly grippy but wear out rapidly, and not a touch on the two recommendations above.

Coilovers, bushed all round, front and rear, 28 rear 25 front arb, front brace and not had understeer, the convo regarding tyres is personal prefrence, i could have probably got more life out the falkens if the top mounts hadent have gone for last 3k.

i have the continental sport contact 2 (225/40-18). best tyre i have tryed, good in dry and wet.
continental sport contact 3 is also a good tyre, BUT they wil get noise and have a bad wear patton on the inside of the tyres.

I have Vredstein Ultrac Sesantas on my Stage 2 LCR & they work great in combination with my Neuspeed arb's & poweflex bushes, tons of grip & no tyre squeal at all. I find them much better than the Parada's that were on the car when I got it.

I used to have P Zero's on mine, and i thought they were shocking in the wet, and also a little noisy when on the motorway.

Im now running on Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric, and the grip in both Dry and Wet is alot more reassuring. Best tyre iv ever had!!

ill second that, the p-zero in the wet was horrid, when i switched to the toyos was like driving a different car in the wet

was going to get the goodyears but was struggling to find a supplier that had any stock so settled for the toyos and been happy with them.
