Really nice mate :)
Sadly I didn't know you were going to MIVW otherwise we could have a beer :D
Is that white Boca the one with the red wheels???
If yes I have a picture from that too.

Did you stay in the NH hotel with the rest of the MIVW crew?
The boca is one of ours yeah, he's a very close friend.. not sure if he's on here though, you should post up his pictures in the same thread as the ones of my Ibiza too and I'll point him in the right direction :D

Paulie..

No I didn't stay in the NH hotel.
It's a 20 minute drive from my place to Valkenburg. :D
I will post the pics in the topic :)
Your power made someone jealous on a dutch Ibiza forum.
He's drivin' a MK4 Cupra D with "only" 253 BHP

ah ok, made sense to drive from home then, they had a massive party on the saturday night, a couple of the Edition38 guys came down and were DJ-ing out the back of they're cars inside the conference hall..
I'll let him know about the pics :D
ha ha, he's nearly there, what mods has he done?

Paulie..

I heard the stories about that night
It's a Cupra Boca right???
Love the red wheels on it :D

ha ha, it was a really good night :D
yeah its a cupra bocanegra.. they're much nicer than standard, its good to see someone see something with a white car than just go for the normal black wheels :D

Paulie..

Just read all 6 pages, was a good read :)

Where did you get the carbon film from, and how easy is it to apply and trim to the badges? Fancy doing my rear badge if its easy enough. Also fancy debadging mine after seeing it on yours and really tidies up the boot. Where did you get your mats from too, would prefer some carpet ones for the drier summer months

Thanks matey, the carbon film just came from eBay. Just search for 3M Dynoc and there should be loads of it on there. I personally like the de-badging as it smooths out the boot a bit and also makes it much easier to wash (believe me, when you have a smokey diesel thats all you seem to do ;) ) I can't remember where the mats came from, I got them at the same time I brought the car (2007) they may of even come from Seat with the car.

Paulie..

Aye I dread to think the mess in the middle of the badges that I cant reach when washing and polishing, my boots bad for tar/soot spots (cant see how tar gets there but looks like it) and dont know how many polishing cloths etc iv ripped on the sharp edges of the badges

Is the front bumper lower grill reg plate area flush on the facelift FR?

On my cupra it was raised in the middle for the plate to stick to. It was also yellow too so with the plate off it looked buck toothed :( so I cut it out lol

I want to fit one whole piece of grill in mine instead of the flat panel along the top just not sure how to go about it

yes it is completely flush.. I have been looking at getting a Cupra bumper, I think they look so much nicer than the FR..

What do you mean about fitting one piece of grill? cutting the whole top piece where the plate was out and replacing it with a grill? if so, won't the crash bar be poking through?

Paulie..

Just leave it like it is now :)
I'm going to clean mine in a few weeks too.
You've got it in gloss black right??

yeah there won't be any more bodywork going on in the near future, next up is brakes.. 4pot fronts and TT rears will be going on to improve the braking as the Golf GTi 312mm front brakes are horrible and lack feel and the standard rear brakes make the car squirm so much its unbelievable.

All the black was sprayed in Gloss Black :D

Paulie..

Just read the whole thread, love the yellow and gloss details, shame it's gets dirty so fast with all that soot

Will be checking back - watching with interest ;)

Absolutely stunning this!
Thanks :D

Thanks again, it drives me wild that within 10 miles of 'proper driving' it once again is in need of a wash, not ideal when you have borderline OCD clean ;)

yeah mine was a matte grey from standard, but I have had them painted gloss black as they look much better black that grey :D
