Basically next door neighbour kicked of because my cars loud! Was just wondering if
Putting a sports cat on will make it less noisy!

I'd tell him to sod off.. As long as your not coming in at stupid oclock every morning and sitting there revving the t*ts off it surely it cant be that loud.

Invest in a side exit exhaust out of the front bumper and show him what loud really is! :)

Cheers for your help! hes a bit of a nutter, tells me he will set my torch my car etc! but im just thinking maybe getting a sports cat because im having a bigger turbo on there and i still want the free flow! At the moment its got a piper cat back exhaust system so it is pretty big back box at them moment

im running a 100 cell sports cat and before that full decat, the race cat is a little quieter than full decat but not alot of difference, the only thing is with decat it POPS on change downs

i had the same with my neighbour mate he complained when i had just the cat back which spured me on to get the turbo back with de-cat lol, he dont say a word now as i said i'll just make it louder if i hear one more word :D

I don't think you need a sports cat but a restraining order.

I tested three setups...

3" DP & Race-Cat on OE Cat-Back
3" DP & Race-Cat on Milltek Non Resonated Cat-Back
3" DP & Race-Cat on Custom Non Resonated 3" Cat-Back with tiny rear silencer

In the order I've written is the order they got louder however the Milltek was quieter on idle than the OE exhaust but louder on boost. The last setup was by far the loudest but also the most performance enhancing, popping & flaming out of them all.

What I'm trying to point out is that it's all in the design of the Cat-Back, the Race-Cat wasn't the key in making it quiet.
