All the 1.8T blocks are roughly the same apparently the BAM has slightly more strengthening around the internal casting webs inside.
You should be able to swap everything over no problem.

I have a AYP engine for say complete with everything running mint, with remapped ecu?

Cheers for the replys guys. I did want a BAM engine but the pennies wouldnt stretch that far. Just put the same engine as before with no issues.
Bscengineer - thanks, would of said yes a month ago but a little too late now.

Sorry to bring this up again but I thought i'd ask if anyone knows of anyone that's successfully completed a BAM transplant into a MK3 Cupra?
Mine's gone kaput now and I know of a BAM that's good 'n' ready 'n' waiting. Im not bothered about the costs involved, would just like to hear about anyone who's done it and the difference it's made?

Thanks!

Do the BAMs run K03s's or K04? If the turbo is available and in good condition then turbo aswell.

bams are from lcr's they run k04's which is not a straight bolt in , just block will fit but i'm 80% sure those bam engines comes with vvt? bill?

Thanks chaps. If the turbo's with the unit and is in good condition then i'll go for the whole lot and get it remapped to accompany it's new home. Custom downpipe is needed too right?

The Cupra has already got a turbo-back Milltek in place. Would that have to be altered?
