My decat on my old 1.8 20vt Cupra R sounded the nuts on full chat. You'll love it :)

wow is this car still going?

how many seats, wheels and atmos dv's have been fitted since ive been away?

None mate, all the same for a long time now. I sold the seats I had and went back to standard LCR seats, been running a 006 DV for ages, same wheels for ages too. Just sold all my Defi gauges too. Times are hard.

ah fair play, i miss mine alot, loved the sound of the blueflame on the 1.8t, such a strrong engine, just wished it was 4 wheel drive, even haldex would have been ok lol

what power is yours running now?

I programmed an x-gauge on the Scangauge II to show the MAF g/s values, did a full power run this morning out on the road and saw a peak of 286g/s. 286 x 1.25 = 357bhp. Sounds about right. Made 323bhp at 21psi on the dyno before, now running 25psi so 357bhp seems realistic.

We'll see if the decat makes any difference. :D

:D Superb Rob! 200bhp/litre

That is awesome!

Well done mate :D

Thanks all! Feels great yes, goes very well. ;) 25psi is right in the peak efficiency zone of the compressor map, turbo is rated to 350bhp so it's pretty much bang on.

Add a sprinkle of WMI, a smidge of timing advance and a bowl of SEM manifold and there you go. :D

great return for all you hard efforts on what is probably the best looking and running Leon on this forum!! [B)]

good figures, i think logging the g/s is a good way to measure mods and you can do it at home,i do this with mone, RR figures are a bit are ok but dont have correct airflow.

You can check the MAF derived BHP figure with the torque-derived one - log block 120 on VAGCOM, the third column gives the torque measured in Nm. This can be converted to lb/ft by multiplying by 0.73756. To get BHP from that, multiply the torque in lb/ft by the engine RPM on that line then divide by 5252.

Note that the 5252 comes from the RPM point on a dyno graph where the lb/ft and bhp intersect - on a stock LCR (I know yours is an LC) it's 5252 so check it on a dyno graph for your car and if the point is different then use that number instead.

Good figures in any case, MAF of 286g/s is going to mean a bloody quick car whatever way you slice or dice it :)

Had the CAT removed this morning up at Stainless Creations in Falkirk. The inside of the CAT didn't look too bad but even when cold you could move the insides around, so when hot no wonder it was rattling. But a straight bit of 3" pipe is now fitted and the rattle is gone!

Drive home felt good, car feels smoother and more responsive, boost comes in maybe 200rpms quicker and a little harder too. Actually seems quieter when cruising. Overall very happy with it. I just hope at the end of January when my MOT is due the people I have spoken to come through for me! :D
