Guys,

Visited Will at P torque today to have my beloved LC stage one remaped, what a difference its made, it so quick.

However when dyno'd on the original set up she was only pushing 220bhp.

The DV was cleaned and that was ok and the car came up with no faults.

Due to not having the original bolts the spacer stayed on, but it is thought that the spacer is causing me to loose boost by keeping the diaphram open.

Due to the spacer staying on we didnt dyno her again and no print out of power was produced. It is quicker be far and I have now taken the spacer off and will be visitin P torque again in the next few weeks for a check up and a read out.

Cant wait to see what shes pulling and anyone wanting a remap visit P TORQUE awesome product at a decent price and an expert in his trade.

Well I put a spacer on my last FR and noticed it dropped power almost imediately.
I have put one on my cupra r and haven't really noticed any change. Although I might remove it since its so quiet and my exhaust is so loud.
So I may tell the difference once removed again. I'll let you know.

i have never understood why you want a spacer anyway?
with a decent induction kit and a remap you will get all the flutter and noises you will ever need.

stick t in the bin and put a decent induction kit on there if you havent already got 1.

i currently have an FR - stock bar a spacer. i swear its not as strong as it used to be. ill take it off one day, but im sure ill miss the noise :(

when i get a map and induction on her im sure ill be happy again.

Funny you should bring this up jim. I had stage 1 p-touque installed 12 months ago and fitted a spacer soon after. I came to read a post about this a few weeks ago and remover the spacer and it has made a difference

i think ill get mine on the ramp in work tomorrow and remove it and see what how it feels on the drive home!

i know its a thread hijack now, but the Forge dumpvalve kit, with solenoid, would keeep it fully recirc so no boost leak ?

Well I removed mine today and yes it has made a difference.
It pulls harder higher up and seems alot more responsive. I thought my car went well with my spacer on but removing it has proved there was a loss of performance with it on.

i removed mine too today.
and what a difference its made!

it also feels soo much smoother throughout the rev-range!

i got mine from forge ebay store for 27 quid delivered, win!

i wont bother trying to sell it on. it looks pretty cool so ill leave it in my tool box at work. bling up the snapon chests!

their ebay store is awesome! i was watching a full milltek for a cupra start at 99p a few month back! sold for about 300 quid in the end for the lot!

group sell, so long as they dont see this thread it will work!

Guys,

I'm glad that those of us that removed the spacer noticed a difference, I realy thought thta I was loosing my marbles when she didn't fee as quick! lmao

Strange really during normal lazy driving its hard to tell but when going over 4000 rpm its very noticeable.
I must have been on a economy drive when I fitted it so never noticed it.
