Lots of people on here running 300bhp+ on stabdard rods

Its low down tourqu spike that seams to kills rods (k04 type torque delivery)...

yes all sorted now m8... the bolts had snapped in flywheel so ive replaced it all now

all going strong now and runs perfect

LCR (BAM) engines are lower compression than the Ibiza (AYP) lumps.
Which probably explains why they take a bit more torque.

nah i no... its not the car for me ive always had vauxhalls in the past and this isnt for me... dont get me wrong its an awesome car to drive and the performance is outstanding and will probably never drive anything like this again but its better going to someone who will enjoy it more than me

i fancied a change of car from a vauxhall.. and it was my m8s old cupra so when it came back up for sale knowing how well built it was and how rapid it was i thought id buy it and see how i got on with it

I've had an email off jabbasport and they said that you can do 330 bhp at 1.5 -1.6 bar so happy days
