hey guys, ive not long had front end bump in my cupra :cry:

on the plus side bought a doner car, even better it has a ko4 turbo from an audi s3 and s3 injectors :D

ive been considering doing this conversion once mines is fixed up, but ive heard theres a lot more to a ko4 conversion, like all other parts im needing for it to run right.

just wondering if someone can help me out and give me an idea to what id be getting myself into

It's more hassle doing that as it Probably won't last long with a ko4 and a map unless you lower the compression. Parts wise your gunna need manifold , oil feed, down pipe and a few other bits. I'd say buy a bam or similar it'll be less work and better . I got told this as I was thinking of doing the same.

its not that hard if you have the parts ;

k04 023 turbo
k04 exhaust manifold
386cc injectors
lcr fuel pump
q peng downpipe
k04 oil and coolant lines
lcr tip and maf housing

you won't make quite as much power but close i reckon 260-270bhp

no it won't at k04 hyrbid might make it go bang , but there is a slver k04 powered ibiza mapped by jabbasport running 260+ bhp on stock internals , as said before keep boost under 1.5bar with a progressive map should be fine , high cylinder pressures and heat bend rods ( often cause by high spikes) there are big turbo ibiza's , golf and leons on stock rods running well over 300 bhp safely

I just got off the phone to jabbasport about mapping my my ko4 ibiza. They said it should be ok as long as u don't go over 1.5 bar. To be honest the conversion is not to much hassel to. Mine is an ayp tho give them a call.

well i already have the s3 k04 turbo and injectors and manifold off this other car, dont think the downpipe is on it. may aswell go ahead with the other parts? also need a 4 bar fuel pressure reg do you not?

no bother thanks, i get car back from body shop after full respray on sat,
then straight out to the other one for the parts.
will keep updated
