Under-seat Sub?

Has anyone fitted a Sub under their seat?
I've looked at proper under-seat subs, but they aren't as powerful, or as cheap as normal subs...

I looked into it a while back but it was looking to be a lot of money for an amount of bass that can be achieved with a mo after in the boot.

Haha, well I don't want to sacrifice boot space, as it's small enough, so that's a no go.
However, I may take the spare wheel out....
The search continues I guess. :/

Toyota fitted a mini sub under the seat in my old MR2 and it was pants. Even if you get a good one its in the wrong place to create the right sound balance.

had one of these for years. It sounds pretty good as you would expect from bose. You won't be heard 1/2 a mile away if thats what you're into tho

Thanks mate, been looking all over for bose car stuff...
Did you put that in the spare wheel, as designed, or did you stick it under the seat?
Also, did it need an amp? Will it work in the Ibiza, with adapters if needed?

It fits easily inside the 17" alloy spare I have. Would think it should be fine inside 16" wheels as well. There is an amp built in but I broke mine messing about with the wiring so have a separate amp now (2ohm stable). It's better tho as I can run standard phono cables and alter the level.
The wiring is easy to figure out, I put a molex connector in line so I can take it out easily.

The tools fit in a bag I had laying around and fits in one of the gaps by the wheel arch

It should do, the amp is 4 channel so can do 4 speakers.

I was wondering more along the lines of RMS....I don't want to underpower/overpower, as I've read that can be real bad....

Edit: A little more reading points to Speaker RMS having to match up with the Amp's RMS.

I bought that sub woofer, thanks. Hopefully the amp is working.

Still haven't decided which amp (for the comps) to go for though...
