http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pscUai_ACUI

P.S i've never ever touched anything mechanical in my car nor do i have prior mechanical knowledge but still looks easy! May buy and try to fit it myself! :D

Gutted, cant watch vids as im on work computer! If it looks mega easy then give it a go and make a 'How-To' Guide for any other retards like me around! ;)

Another reason I didnt entertain doing it myself is that the ARB's are getting done at the same time and so I wanted a 4 Wheel Laser Alignment done!:)

What symptoms did you experience?

Didnt experience any symptoms that you'd notice inside the car but when I checked my oil (which I do reguarly) it absolutley stunk of Petrol! I was near Manchester so pulled into Awesome who drained and flushed my engine and said that it was full of petrol!:wtf:

Turned out that the (OEM) seals on my Autotech Fuel pump had failed allowing fuel into the engine!:ill:

It looks pretty simple mate although it doesn't show them removing the old bush.
That might be awkward lying on your back.
I'm sure someone will inform us soon. If its a fit at home job like springs etc I maybe interested.

They have left the biggest pain in the arse of that job out of the video which is removing the old bush...

Cheers for that.

I have been told that the oil on these cars does smell a little fumey anyway, but was this blindingly obvious? And did you notice huge oil usage?

Why not just cut the old bush off if it's not need anymore ?

Hey mate, no probs at all!:) My oil had always smelt a bit and 3 of my mates have the same motors so I'd always compared mine to theirs and not noticed any difference. When the pump went it was awful, smelt like pure petrol and when I rubbed it between my fingers, hardly had any viscosity at all! Didn't have time to notice any huge oil usage as I got it sorted as soon as it happened!

Got my car back today after getting all my handling mods added and all I can say is wow! I am a very happy man! Even tho the roads are quite greasy the.car feels like its on rails now and instills so much confidence its unreal! I would thoroughly recommend these mods to anyone else wanting to improve the feel of their mk2! Next up, time for a diff!;)

Awesome stuff!

So what are the mounts like, Dude?

Noisy? Any vibration?

Hey dude, I do have to admit that I was a little worried about the noise from the THS mounts but they really aren't too bad at all! Only if you let the revs drop really low do you get some resonance in the cabin, apart from that you get a really sweet sounding engine inside the car!

The Mrs didn't even notice the difference and just asked why I was smiling so much whilst driving! ;)

:lol::rofl::lol:

don't ever kid yourself that she doesn't suspect anything over the car!!!

Sounds all good to me, I've been checking this out with JKM - just waiting to see what bonus (if any) is received...
