No luckily 1 of my friends is gona help out if needs be so will still have the motor!! Haha if the dealer is the same as he has been all the way along he won't even give me a pound for it!! Apparently its at port in UK but won't get it till 29th wanted to travel to the missus' parents in harrogate in it on boxing day!

picked car up on tuesday and its awsome, sat nav and dsg great, altered a few things in the menu to suit me, you can have daytime running lights on or off, alter door and window settings and other things, just got to set the bluetooth up with my mobile which looks quite easy, its quiet, comfortable and quick and looks awsome

I can get mine on the 29th and they are chucking in the £88 cable and tank of fuel for free so a bit of a consolation I suppose!!
Getting the train down there so will enjoy the ride back up afterwards!! So what are the settings for the door and windows etc? Really cant wait for it now!! Get some pictures up mate...

First thing I did when I got mine was to change the door settings so that a single click unlocks all doors and the boot. By default, a single click of the remote just unlocks the driver's door and you need to double click to unlock all. I found this default a complete pain until I changed it... I lost count of the times I had to faff around digging my keys out of my pocket to unlock the boot "again" while juggling bags of shopping or whatever...
Oh, and I didn't like the coming/leaving home lights so I disabled those. I personally like the DRLs but swapped the bulbs for some nice LED equivalents that look more white and less yellow than the standard tungsten bulbs.

Just have a play with the settings and enjoy the new motor!

i changed the doors to open just the drivers side on one click, kept the daytime running lights on with it being winter, you can have em on or off, blutooth took 5 mins to set up and works fine, you can enable or disable the things in the multi function on screen menu, change how long lights stay on when locking or unlocking the car, i think daytime running lights are law from next year on all new cars so thats probably why they are fitted now

I have to admit that considering the prices you pay for the FR or the R, to put cheepo yellow lights in as the DRLS was a bit ruthless.

Where did you get your lights from, are they easy to install?

This time next week I will be on the train to go and collect it! Until then, I'm trying to put it out of my mind as would have been a nice xmas present!

Is the Sat Nav any good keith?

aye mate the sat nav is spot on, easy to set up, as was everything else, when you turn the ignition off it warns you about the deadlocks not been on, dont worry about it as its warning you thats all,its some anti highjack thing, the deadlocks come on when car is locked, must be some euro ruling crap thing

The dealer put a full tank in for me so put that to good use on the drive back!! Love the DSG and defo worth the wait! The Ipod cable hadn't arrived so sending that in the post! How do I upload pictures on this place?

I have got one of the new FR +. The LED back lights do look sexy at night, however it does miss the FR badges on the seat. The update media sytem its a lot better.

Yeah the DSG is unbelievable, love switching between that and S on the country roads!! I think the rear LED's look pretty smart and im not really to fussed about the FR badges missing....

Hi,hopefully DSG Keith reads this as I can not send him a personel message till I have 10 posts.I have a 2011 Seat Leon FR CR+, it has the multimedia, however I am not sure if its the latest 2.2. I did read somewhere that some models made in certain weeks had the 2.1. Not sure if my car has voice commands and also can not put a six digit postcode in. Read the manuals, but not a lot of infomation there, can you help

Hi Mate,

Hopefully this will clarify a bit. The FR+ (2012) model that has the full kit was released on 31st May 11. If you ordered pre this date it may well be a 2.1 system. When you switch on your car, the screen should display SEAT MEDIA SYSTEM and at the bottom in the middle says 2.2. If this is not the case, you may well have 2.1.

From what I know just by simply using it, the system allows you to put a space in the postcode search, if you want to put 3 and 3 then there is no spacing.

On your steering wheel controls, under the left console should be a little button with a microphone on it, this is your voice commands.

Thanks, got mine secondhand so not suredelivery date, although it was registered June 2011.I do have the button that you say on my steering wheel, but it just pauses the sound from the radio.

in that case mate, it was probably sat for a while before being registered. you can argue the toss i suppose but probably not get any where. Welcome to the 2.1 clan
