Hi All
Well i have been trying to sell my Boca privately for a while and not had much luck. It would seem most people know about the miss fire problems with the 1.4 Twin charge engine. as a result I have been offered no more than 8K for the car.

So I resulted to looking at getting another car and using the Boca as Part Exchange. I was offered 10K with no problems, just shows how bad the public perception of the Boca/Cupra is.

So I am about to put a deposit down on a 10 plate LCR. However I have a question that the dealer couldn’t answer (surprise there)

The car is listed as having the "Technology Pack" I am assuming this is the Sat Nav and the Bluetooth media streaming?

Also I wanted to know what version the media system was? how do I find out? and how do I upgrade it to the latest?

I have searched around and can’t find too much useful information, all help appreciated.

You can plate it with an SD card. Easy to do.

Be careful. The R should be cheap, so don't pay over the odds just to get an ok trade in

Not sure where you are Phil, but there's a 10 plate LCR at a dealer near me (Southampton) for £16.5k, with 6,500 on it. That's a monumental loss in a short mileage!

I'd use that as your stick..

the Technology pack was standard btw

My Cupra R has the Technology pack. I think it consisted of sat-nav and Bi-Xenon headlights. The one you looking at may have Media system 2.0.

Mine is 2.1 and it doesn't steam the music, although I got the maps updated so it does have the full postcode function. I think it tells you once you start-up the car what version it is on the screen.

I think you can buy some sort of better/newer bluetooth module that will make it compatible with BT audio, as on my media system setup it does have the option to turn BT audio on/off (doesn't work though).

Mork.........Thats the one I am going for :) There are some for 15K but there not as good spec. I am also confused as to why some dont have Xeons?

Jason..... I have no idea what that stands for but I assume it is good??

Ross........ thanks for the infor. How do you get hold of the update?

Also everyone what should come with it? Should I get a disc and a radio code?

I also saw the car mentioned on here in another disscusion. People seemed to be concerned about the hostory of the car, I looked into this and it was one of the Managers at Blacklands MK (Seat HQ) I used to work there so know a few of the staff still and after asking around it was one of the senior managments car. The guy is 40+ and not the type to abuse his cars.

This is the next door plated car that I photographed at the Press Launch

This is me taking very similar plated cars out on track, on the same day, with close reg plates

I'm fairly sure, that's not an ex managers car.......

I made sure they gave me the updated disc before buying the car. Probably didn't cost them to much.

Copied the discs onto an SD card using the media system. Frees up the CD drive

There's nothing to be that worried about with an ex Press car, just better you know what you have than not

There all the same reg endings because there probly registerd at the same time. It still has warrenty on it and it may have been a press car before it was passed as an employee car.

Seems to bother other people more than it bothers me. I couldnt be botherd if it was a press car it still has warrantey.

The people who said it was a managment car I Trust, i used to work with them. Im not saying it wasnt a press car, but it was a managment car after if it was.

I couldn't care if it was or wasn't. You view a car as you see it.
As in another thread any used R or Cupra has been tried and tested as people don't buy them to doddle around.
In my experience cars usually turn out the better car if driven hard but well maintained
