Looking at a set of 7.5 wide wheels and wonder if my current 205 tyres will be ok or would wider ones be a better choice.

Also is there any other disadvantages or stretched tyres? Like ride quality

Cheers

why would you want 205 on a 7.5" wheel for ?

i have 9j and im thinking of going 195 for lows and some scene stretch
and not the 205/40/16 i have at the mo

Purely money saving atm as the 205s have only covered 1000 miles of easy driving.

195 on 9s will give a good look.

17s for me as I can't find the wheels in 16s at atm.

I'm running 195/45/16 on my 8's are there pretty streached!!

pic donst show the streach very well but here it is!

^^^ when you go for new rubber try 195/40 mate and then wind the coils all the way down for some scene points :)
phil yea it should sit how i want it then no arch gap at the rear :)

splitters are cheating haha I like it!!! the splitter does get abit of a pasting lol

Looks like it caught on the locking collar of a coilover to me. I have drifted on more stretch than that with my skyline and NEVER experienced something like that. I did however have a tyre go like that which wasnt stretched at all but had a defect.

But considering it gets a LOT more heat and a lot more stress being drifted on doesnt that show its going to stand a lot more than simple road driving? Im not talking about a bit of street abuse here im talking on a track from nearly new to nearly the point of it popping, absolutely no tread down to the cords
