Hey everyone, I've had my Ibiza a month now and it's standard apart from a Seat Sport Strut Brace. Now looks wise I've already got that in my head, I need to know what things can be done to these cars performance/brakes/handling/lowering wise.

Now I'm only 20 but I take care of my car so would like pretty much the best things available for the car.

This was my old car so you can get a rough idea what I'm like

Was originally a SXi turned into a full VXR Replica. It's a 1.3 and was running 115bhp I was 17 at the time lol.

Anyway help would be appreciated here's my standard FR

That's one of the nicest Corsa's I've seen. It's almost a step back from Corsa to Ibiza, but I'm sure when you've finished with the Beeza, it'll be 10x better! :p

What are you going for? Yellow paint, and everything else black? Sort of like your Corsa?

It is a step back for the time being but I've bought a better car, better engined car etc. Soon as I start the modding I'll be happy.

Yellow with Matte Black

Engine wise a good way to start off is with a stage 1 remap. Can see around 160 - 170bhp and 270-300lb ft of torque ( Standard clutch is only good for 300lb ft)

Other popular mods are Milltek turbo back exhaust and seat sport front mount intercooler ( as found on the cupras) and then stage 2 is possible

Handling wise, Iv got AP coilovers (2nd hand) and cant fault it, doesnt feel like its on coilovers at all as the standard ride is pretty harsh. My coilovers arent stupidly low either so this helps. Whiteline rear anti roll bar is supposed to make a big difference, I havent went for one (yet)

Brakes, Iv got Ferrodo DS2500 pads on standard discs and see this as a good set up and never failed me once (meaning brake fade or made me feel like the brakes aren't up to the job) A popular mod for bigger brakes is to fit Audi TT 312mm calipers and carrier along with discs and pads

Have a look in the link to my readers ride in my sig for my mods and pics if you want, try and keep it as up to date as I can but it often gets forgotten about

I was planning on REVO Remap Stage 1 for the time being, would I also be able to add for example the exhaust and intercooler that you mentioned and keep it on the stage 1 Map with the standard clutch. Then at a later date when the clutch needs changing then uprate and then stage 2?

Handling wise I hear about these Whiteline RARB's all the time so I think that is gonna be on the list.

Definitely gonna go coilovers as springs won't be low enough I don't think, also gonna use spacers.

I've already purchased 312mm Brakes just don't know what Discs and Pads to get?

Is there any under bonnet boost pipes etc from Samco or another manufacturer?

Thanks for the help btw.

Forge do alot of nice bits, inc boost pipes, fmic etc.

Nice Corsa, shame it wasnt an actual VXR.

Oh an watch the yellow paint, massive SEAT fault as it fades and cannot be corrected with polish.

Thanks, it wasn't bad for my first car at 17.

The day I got it I fully machined polished it and a few coats of glaze and wax so hopefully it stays ok

you'll love the engine on the FR mate :)

take a look at my thread for ideas...i got my coilies to fit next month some time, and then milltek cat-back along the way as well.

first exterior mods i'd do is Cupra rear spoiler and customised front LCR splitter...if you wanna begin your yellow/black theme i'd spray the centre lip below the front grill black in contrast ;)

Only problem with that is that Revo dont do a stage 2 map for the TDi engine as Iv looked into this myself. So you would would then have to go custom for stage 2, and have your ECU flashed back to standard to totally remove the revo software as otherwise your unable to load a remap onto the ecu. Iv to get mine booked into the Revo dealer to remove the map completely before getting my custom stage 2.

I had my revo map done and then had my clutch uprated while I was replacing the release bearing a year or so later. Then a FMIC came up on ebay so got that, only thing left for stage 2 was the milltek so guess what? Ended up getting that aswell lol.

Clutch will be fine with just a stage 1 remap and then if you add FMIC and Milltek. Its only if you want over 300lb ft of torque that you'll need to get it uprated. I was £1080 in parts for my sachs clutch, that included a new flywheel too.

The only boost pipes available aren't really visible, with my FMIC and forge hose kit it still uses the standard plastic pipe that comes from the inlet / EGR down to the front of the engine bay where it then goes into forge pipework and silicon hoses

Mate i seriously thought that was a VXR. Lovely looking motor you had there. Sure the Ibiza will turn out in the same way. Look forward to seeing your progress

stage 1 remap from p-torque if you live local to midlands would be my recommendation along with a FMIC (seat sport) then you havnt got the worry of the weak smic pipework popping. bigger air intake and panel filter. rear ARB and some rear wheel spacers to keep the back wheels in line with front. have a look at what others are doing with the front bushes to aid the handling as its a firm ride. but some improvements can be had here. never felt the need to upgrade to 312mm brakes as my other vehicles have terrible brakes which make the ibiza standard brakes feel superb.

Great corsa for a 17 year old I had a 106 when I was that age lol

Wish I had the love for mine again to do some more bits on it.it's turned in to a work horse now days

Front mount
De cat
Exhaust
Panel filter
Pd160 intake

Then custom remap will see 170bhp 180bhp my clutch was maxed out 310 lbft slips sometimes stil goin strong thought

Thanks everyone for your help, can't wait to get my car back from SEAT to get started :)

Paint the 'Pillar' parts on the front bumper black, LCR splitter, Black sidemirrors, Lamin-X?, Black Rear Badge?, Colour coded side strips, black roof?, attempt a HoneyComb grille?

Looking good mate! ;) Also noticed you put a private plate on, nice.

Already got the splitter it's getting put on next week, going to do the badge black on the back, side strips I don't know whether to do black or yellow? Thanks :)

I like your corsa better lol! This one has the better engine though ;) I think gloss black (cupra) mirror covers would set off the paintwork better.

Had a busy day today, first things first what a nightmare it is to fit the LCR splitter!. Got it done in the end and it looks a whole lot better.

Fitted my sidelights :

Whilst the headlights were out and bumper was off I also fitted my HID kit :
