Good news!

I've had an invite to head to Barcelona later this year to drive the 'New' Ibiza

More details - later

Nice that they involve this forum even though they aren't connected in any way as such.

Hopefully the interior will be better quality.

I'm really looking forward to being able to compare to my 'old' Ibiza

Doubt much will have changed tbh. Maybe the texture of the 'soft touch' patches along with the instument surround and climate. The door cards will most likely still be brittle plastic :( Got a clio courtesy car atm and it's very well finished for a supermini, entire dash top is soft touch and so is the tops of the door cards. No rattles too!

Some of the other superminis do seem better trimmed than the Ibiza.

The only problem with some of the soft touch materials is that they don't wear well and seem to age quickly.

I had my Mk4 ibiza for 6 years and it still looked like new inside - i have no reason to belive my Mk5 wont wear just as well.

Most of them are trimmed better than the ibiza unfortunately. Have to disagree that soft touch materials wear quicker tbh. They have more give in the material so don't scratch as easily, hence why Audi interiors still looks new years down the line and Seats don't.

Also, I highly doubt your ibiza mk4 interior looked new after 6 years. The plastic scratches so easily a feather would damage it!

Not keen, prefer mk5 version. I agree it isn't on par with Ford's effort's though.

I Keep checking the seat website to see if details of these new models is on there yet! :)

Not until 8th March when the Geneva Motorshow is on when it's launched - then a couple of weeks later when I get to drive it.

UK spec's might follow around then.
