toms LCR dis the exact same thing.
more mods than stock map could tolerate.. >200g/s on stock map with his mods.. car would drop into limp.

sound familiar to yours?

Sounds about right.
Would be interesting to see what kind of flow rates could be obtained with mods as i still run forge TIP and stock SMIC's

Yeah just seen a nice sub 1000k 02 LCR go for £2300 gutted really as i would have had it at that, it was up for £2895 or offers, Ovni too.

When are you picking up the S3?

Right after a chat and some thinking ive comeup with a plan
Hopefully be picking up the S3 at some point next week so i can take some bits off.
The plan is to use the 4wd front gearbox and transfer box but run without prop.
I did put a thread up awhile back in the mk1 section about clearancing for the downpipe and now have a solution.
The blueflame downpipe and race cat will come off and i can use the OE S3 downpipe as it will clear.
So when the engine is rebuilt i can use the quattro box and have no problems (hopefully), run it in then go big turbo after.
Also having second thoughts on the GT2871R now, may ditch this and go bigger to compete with the bigger boys especially if the 4wd conversion works

i can confirm this Ronin, it usually happened more often when the outside air temps were low, all sorted now though after a trip to Bill's ;)

Cheers for the support guys, probably would be easier to put all my good stuff into the S3, but easy isnt fun.
Tom, i'll probably just live with possiblity of limp mode for a while as soon it will be rebuilt and run the OE S3 downpipe and cat with quattro box so this will limit performance anyway.
Then i can choose what to do turbo wise.
I should be in most of this week if youre popping over barn, hit a stumbling block about the recovery truck too

Wow love the plans. Looking forward to your progress mate. Think you got the priorities right, get the handling done with the quattro box and then look at power hikes
