Kiwi Green owners

Probably only a few of us but wondered if you had the following:

Only had the car a month and just spotted that the rear bumper is a slightly different (darker) green that the rest of the car.

Spoken to the Seat dealer i bought it from and they say it is because the bumper is plastic so the colour looks different; but the front bumper is plastic and looks fine.

This is kinda true

Happens on Black Magic (paint code LC9Z too)

What happens is that there are slight variations from time to time in paint mixes. Now, the bumpers aren't sprayed in the same building as the bodies, now, see where we're going with this.

My partner has a '57 plate Ibiza, black magic, and in the sunlight, bumpers look different.

Not necessarily cos its plastic (but could be a contributing factor), just a different batch of paint in a different building

same issue with my btcc kit in red. Doesn't look as bad now its been polished .Weirdly its only noticable when compared with the rear quarter panel, the color match with the boot is fine for both the bumper and the quarter panel :/

The colour matching between bumpers and panels is a joke on VAG cars! Seem to look worse on the Leon because of the big bit at the rear between the quarter panel and bumper.

Ive been waiting for someone to say that for the last 6 months. My chrono yellow is exactly the same. The bumper is slightly darker than the quarter panel. Ive convinced myself the car had had paint before I bought it, but I couldnt find any evidence of a crash anywhere. It only had 5k on it when I bought it and I thought the dealer was trying to pull a fast one.

Yep , the quarter panel and the bumper is the point. Oh well, part of the club! I am sure once she's up to 300 BHP i won't even notice it.
