Hi,

I'm a little confused at the minute as I have recently bought a 56 plate Leon FR and was under the assumption it was a TFSI (has the badges, was advertised as such etc...) However upon checking the service book it says SE350 2.0FSI FR (4P147 as far as I was concernced the 4P147 denoted it's KW output which is 197bhp I think)?

Any help is appreciated!

Cheers,
Paul

Right thanks for that, because I thought the FSI engine didn't have a turbo in it but the TFSI engine does (however this certainly does have a turbo after driving it haha) but was a little confused as the service book only said 2.0FSI!

Yeah FSI non-turbo TFSI and TSI are turbo.

This is probably just a mistake in your book. There is no difference in the TFSI and TSI either, more of a branding thing. Think it was changed around facelift time.

There is differences just not obvious ones lol for a start it's got a whole 8 more bhp :p

Sorry but you are 100% wrong. The TSI is a complete new engine, pretty much everything is different.

See above dude. I'm well aware of the changes in engines throughout VAG. I was talking about the naming of them which went from TFSI to TSI.

Audi do use the TSI badging.....on the cars with a TSI in it!

S3 etc still uses a TFSI!

The S3 is a TFSI engine as in the Leon Cupra R (cambelt)

The lower power cars are TSI (1.8 and 2.0 versions timing chain).

Pg 1 of that guide says Oct 2011......brochures are updated almost every month!!

So are all Petrol FR's TFSI? Still a little confused as to why there would be a mistake in my Service Book!?

Cheers,
