Lol you do realise the LCR is a bit heavier don't you. Mine tipped the scales at 1570 iirc.

If your LCR came out at 1570kg then you need to check the boot for a couple of bags of cement, LCR is 1370 dude :)

1570kg makes it heavier than a DSG-equipped mk5 R32......

i knew 1 guy who turbo charged a clio 182 and after running 300bhp he split the block and so needed re sleeving and he said this is quite a common problem with the engines as they aint initially designed to be force inducted. however forged sleeves and overbore to a 2.2ltr engine its now running 400bhp or there abouts. the 1.8t has forged pistons already so they are good for around 500bhp basically to get a clio to 500bhp is gonna cost a lot more than its gonna cost us with a 1.8t

if he split the block he did something wrong. block wise they're pretty good.

I'll dig out a r5 turbo running an f4r lump thats in the 700 region last time i heard iirc

1370 dry no doubt.

full tank and me in made it 1570

No offence but you must be some size of a fella

55L of fuel is roughly 40.5kg (specific gravity of petrol is 737 kg/m3. therefore a litre weight 0.737kg) , so you'll be around 160kg???

What does your V5 say for vehicle weight?

Bloody hell, so where the hell do all the weights for the cars come from then? The leon never feels like a 1.5 ton car, I can appreciate the increase in weight of around 70kg between an LC and and LCR with the different wheels, second SMIC, Brembos, cast wishbones etc but to end up at 200kg more than the book weight?

I'm gonna find a weighbridge and bung the operator a tenner for a shot :)

As said I suspect that's dry weight, no fuel, washer fluid, brake fluid, oils etc. there may have been about 10kg in the boot but nothing to write home about.

Well those were the kerb weights I was quoting - kerb weight is all fluids, full tank of petrol but no cargo?

Had a quick look in the back of an EVO mag, they quote the LC as 1322kg, LCR is 1376kg.

2 year old thread...

Mate has mazda mps - 60 plate with scoop in bonnet, is BBR stage 1, alleged 290bhp and 330lb-ft, couldn't beat my lcr last night rolling 40-135 on private road... Neck and neck...
