Dual Antenna inputs on RCD 510

Hi.

I have managed to fit a VW RCD 510 with DAB to my 58 Leon Fr with some great help from you guys on this forum!

However, on the back of the new head unit there is a double connector for the FM/AM and I only have one cable from the original radio.
I fitted it to one side and it seems to work but not listing all the stations in my area.

Is there an adapter cable to go from single to dual feed?

Also, what do you recommend for a DAB aerial that doesn't involve ripping the car apart but has pretty good reception?

I found this but not sure if it's suitable.

There must be a way of getting a 1 to 2 adapter cable.

Now I find the dab aerials don't have the same connectors on for the socket in the back of the radio.

What have you guys done who have retro fitted a OEM radio to a pre fl Leon?

Hi jodrell ,is it a single Fakra on the car to double Fakra on the head unit?

Hi there.

It's a single fakra on the car and a double fakra on the radio.

I hope there is a double adaptor or something to connect it properly.

I have been looking for exactly this adapter you linked to for over a month. I had resigned myself to it not being available.

Do you just plug the car end into it and then straight into radio?

I have one of those for my RNS 510. It works well but the only problem is it causes an error to appear when you do a VCDS scan. But its a false error so you can ignore it.

The link in my other post is the one i use with no problems at all as mine is single on the car wiring to twin on the back of my rns 510.

Hi Guys

I think I have the wrong one. There must be a good reason why there are twin antenna points. If I use my current ordered one then I will only be using one of the twins.

I've used a jvc aerial that's DAB and analogue for over 5 years now and been on several cars. Had to take the plastic shroud off the back of the rcd 510 to make it fit though
